Great job with the video.I'm retexturing the building right now.And since I read somewhere the buildings look way too flat I'll cut out holes for the windows to make it look more realistic

I'm afraid I can't use it if you cut out holes, it will be too high poly, and I optimize WWC to run on practically any machine. I had the horrific experience of FPSC on a 10 year old machine running my dream maps at 10 fps, and I want no one to experience the same thing

Relax. The current geometry doesn't allow that. It's almost re-textured and in my opinion looks a lot more realistic than before.I'll post it in a few minutes

Alright Bugs, try this one as skyscraper3 from Dark City :

I kinda screwed up one of the windows , because of the weird geometry.I'll try to fix it , but if you like it like it is tell me.

I originally planned to sell this game, but that was when I was young and naive and believed people would actually pay 10 dollars for a 15 minute game. now I'm giving them a 45 minute game for free!

I may sell my next title, operations, but that's only if the gameplay length exceeds 2 hours.

Il post here don't you worry! lol

Looking really good bro, if i had to guess i would say it was a henry ham gun (the famas obviously)

loving the new screens, although the sinks seem too high in the bathroom and the kitchen is pretty bright.

The eye height of the player compared to the height of a segment is really confusing at times and makes creating/placing stuff at correct aspects a pain at times

I wish segments were about 1.2-1.5x height, as 2x is too high and 1 always feels cramped.

Rupert must still be in post moderation then.

The gun looks awesome, and I was that guy who created the gun, I would want my name ALL OVER IT! It looks really good!

And in the bathroom scene, I don't really like the ceiling. And the last screenie, are the lamps pushed trought the ceiling? Loks like they are half inside it...

That's not in fact a ceiling, just the floor. You need to actually add a ceiling to the segment structure (or make a ceiling overlay mesh), or it just repeats the floor mesh.

Looking nice, but I'd say the last 2 screens are of a fairly poor standard compared to the others. The bathroom is pretty uninspiring (Yes, it's only a bathroom, but it can be improved on) and the kitchen is just fairly bland. I know the lights are on, but their range is so high that it's almost like there aren't any lights at all. It's just like someones whacked the ambience right up.

I've gotta agree with that. The last two definitely weren't as good as the previous ones. The bathroom wasn't too bad, but the kitchen...looks a bit 5-minute. Mainly from the lighting.

agree'd. I think you should be able to dynamically scale the size of the segments, but it keeps the floor in the same spot.

=======================

sorry about the last 2 screens guys, the bathroom can't really have much inspiration, as it's a bathroom, and I dunno what else to put in there

inb4 "put overlays on the floor" - the bathroom IS NOT GRUNGY IN ANY WAY. it's very clean and kept to high standards as this is a high class shopping area and apartment complex mainly for rich people in the uptown area, and the workers on the S.E.T. team.

A proper ceiling would help the bathroom. I have attached a .fps file for the M3 bathroom to show you how to apply a ceiling to rooms, so you don't get the floor as your ceiling. I know it's not the bathroom your using, but you can still see how it's done and apply to that one. Plus I know you have Model Pack 3

Please note that M3 rooms have the floor set 2 units lower than normal with a Y offset of -52 instead of -50. So the .fps I have attached is set to -50 for the floor, just keep this in mind if changing more M3 room segments

I have also e-mailed you a few more bits for your kitchen to make it a little less empty looking.

Wray... Bad news... Not going to be able to send you the files today either ... GIMP just refuses to save the files for some reason

Ill have to redo the textures on another PC before I can send them to you. Ill try (keep your fingers crossed) to send it to you over the weekend, but i kind of want to make it better than the AK's texture

Sorry again...

Cheers,
Anayar

just took out a zillion objects and turned the lightmap quality to an ungodly low 256/40

it was able to play in test. sadly, if I want to keep it that way I can't add the new kitchen stuff. I'll see if I can find another place to squeeze it in like an employee break room in another map.

Never thought reducing the LM texture size did that much to reduce the memory footprint to be honest?? I would rather keep the texture size higher and reduce the LM quality myself, but like I said I never knew texture size mattered as much as LM Quality.
