I claim all the remaining parts of south america completely surrounding imperfect sheep's small landlocked country. I will call my country Bolivia.

Cormorant's 10 tanks are seen as an invasion of Bolivia and I blow them up. Please do not send military forces to a negotiation. I have sealed the border with Durway and deported all illegal Durwegian immigrants. We still have legal Durwegians immigrants living here though. They are good workers

Oh crap. I get my scientists working on a type of barrier, which is discovered not to long after. It should with hold most of the impact, minimizing the damage to a large degree. They make this "element" into large shields and they lift them up over each estimated nuke zones. Take that.

That would fail. The nuke detonating in the higher atmosphere would cause a MASSIVE EMP completely destroying any electronics you have, and the radiation emitted would cause vast illness for all your citizens, there is no defence against it, and besides, it happened during VENTS post.

germany fought well, but after a severe bombardment from the empire their forces have been brought to null. there are 23,452 remaining troops and no aircraft or naval vessels.

In a gesture of kindness I shall leave half of Germany independant and absorb the rest into the Realm of the United Kingdom of Great Britain.

Yes the borders are completely open, we don't even check passports.
However if you want to export anything from there or use it in your own country you will have to buy it from us as it was produced on our land.
Alternatively you can buy some land from us. It will cost you $10M per square mile.

Army consists of a single soldier, who is unarmed and fully willing to negotiate a peaceful alternative to fighting.

Navy consists of the rowboat I used to get there.

Airforce consists of my pet parakeet, Jacob.

Why is Africa part Bolivia? You didn't say you went there. You have to say it. And remember to make both China and the part of Canada that used to be Chinese mine. We lost thousands of lives in the nuke event from sickness. They moved to the poorly populated islands near Australia, and will move back when we rebuild the electronics in about a year from now, AKA tomorrow.

@Bootlicker You can always enter, as long as there is free space. Or someone can give you land for you to start with. What is your nation called?

Lasers have been around for ages, as well as battery technology vastly improving, in the real world I think we'll see these relatively soon. I just took a step in putting all my resources towards those 2 technologies, as a result I have a poor economy and my naval vessels are fairly poor, as are most of my military vehicles. as well as the fact that my troops are poorly trained because all the money went on weaponry.

We're one year (day) into the game, I don't think you can have lasers rifles and forcefields without a bit more research.

IRL They are developing a tank with a magnetic forcefield, magnetize the tank's hull and it deflects bullets away from it!
