I second this, I'd like to know what you guys are offering. A simple question - How can you change this forum for the better?

Good luck to all of those who have announced their candidacy.

Is anyone else as impressed as I am that I'm polling in second place alongside Jerico, and I'm not even running?

I'm lost here in who to support! See, I campaigned against Jimmy back in '08, so his throwing his support behind the Jerico/ Obese ticket adds some weight to it. But then there's Phaelax, who also has the qualities I look for in a President. I guess we won't know who I'm supporting until post-debate.

Presidential Edit: (heh, I love doing that) When Phaelax gets a running mate, I think that'll go a long way toward my decision, so get on that lol

In an interstellar burst, I'm back to save the universe

Is this the vice president you want? You heard it, polofleece and design runner are all out of ideas
Who is design runner anyway? Has he posted here?

Whereas Jericho and myself have many ideas, more than you can count on one finger.

I would like to comment on the work my candidates have done to bridge The Game Creational gap that has existed on the forum since the inception of FPS Creator.

You see.. I used to dread waking up in the morning knowing that were more than likely several hundred posts created during the night on my beloved apillo forums by FPS Creator users. But now, thanks to Jerico2day and OBese87, and the forum feature that allows me to hide the FPS Creator board, I can all but turn them off.

I am posting through near-tears now.. I don't know if I can express the impact this has had on my life. So, thank you... thank you so much, Rich- I mean, Jerico2day and OBese87.

That's what I was thinking. Yea he's posted at least once. His member status is only a few months old. But I have added him to the poll as requested.

Other advances I have attempted to make to this community is a mobile version of the forums; Mobile TGC. However, the official word from the elders stated there would be no such development to the existing site. So in the meantime, one can browse from a cell through my site, but won't be able to login.

Quote: "Also, has anyone noticed that phalaex - the one who is hosting the preliminary polls - has the most votes? COINCIDENCE? I think so!"

Last I checked, several of us were tied at 2 votes each. So thank you everyone who are voting for me!

I think the real question that Matt Rock should pose here, and that all our campaigns should revolve around, is: how should we use our capabilities as a forum president for the better? I can assume that presidency holds:

- Moderator rights:
- Ban
- Sticky threads
- Lock threads
- Kick
- Complete website access (code, graphic design, etc)
- As well as appearance of authority as president

So once again, how will we use this for the better? OutdoorGamer mentioned encouraging people to join contests, as well as host more of them. But can't we already do that as normal users? We don't need presidential ranking for that, honestly. And sure, we'll be given a banhammer to slow down piracy and the like, but there's already plenty of other moderators trying to do the same thing! How can WE do something different to prevent that more than anyone else has so far?

In terms of online experiance and forum membership, I will admit that as one of my weaknesses. I only have about 1 and a half years experiance with TGC, but like what was said before, I don't think that should completely determine our obligations to run. It's about our UNDERSTANDING of the presidential rank and how we can make change for the better with that rank.

I have one vote... that means someone out there supports me! Do your duty and become my running partner, mysterious voting fellow. Don't be mistaken, I'm not doing this to further the forum, assist people, grow our society or any of that nonsense, this is purely fame-and-riches-driven campaign. And you could be in on it.

Edit: This is all in fun right? Autobot isn't correct in thinking this comes with powers? Because I don't want that I want people to remember me as the selfish dick that I really am. I kinda assumed this was just a superficial, joke thing.

Woops. That was me. I meant to vote for myself of course but I hit the wrong button! I can't be your running mate, as that would lead to a recursive melt-down. My apologies. I hope they don't make the final form so confusing, or else I'd have to ask for a recount!

I have at least as many as twice as much as Obese's, and he's got like a billion ideas.

Let the war begin... I might do some Minecraft, first, though.

I don't know what you are talking about... he fits all four of them. Except maybe the first one. Maybe. Who knows? All I know is that he shall be perfect wasp cake for my party (which at the moment consists of two people). Obviously I'll being expecting you to act as rashly and rediculously as possible, Andrew, but the details are all over to you! That question struck me, really. Not in a bad way, but in a prophetic way. Few here really know me, unless you pay attention to the fpsc models and media board. So let me give you all a few details about me, show you that I have the qualities of a great leader.
1. I am a Boyscout. This means I have great leadership and responsibility qualities.
2. I am training for Graphic Design, but I want to do 3d Game Environment Design.
3. I have not yet sold anything I have made here on the forums. EVERYTHING has gone to the community.
4. I really have no life, so I will be here to support the forums often.

Vote for the leader who will undoubtedly make mistakes, but will take responsibility for them. Vote for the leader who will combat piracy on a new level. Vote for the leader who CARES. Vote for a better forum, and a better future, vote Design Runner!
I will also add here that I refuse to post anything negative against another candidate.

Thraxas, you have automatically been added to the AutoBot Administration. You can either be secretary of nukes and other toxic/atomic/antimatter weapons OR director of coffee and donuts for Minecrastors all around the world (its more important than it sounds).

On another note, a new sig has been made to reflect the GROWTH of the AutoBot administration (now known as the AutoNerd administration). Welcome to the domination of the world by means of minecraft, thenerd!

See this cake? Everyone loves cake. Who doesn't love cake? That's right, nobody. A vote for the AutoNerd administration is a vote for cake! If we get elected, we promise justice to all confectionery lovers. The mod lounge will get a dedicated bakery. Lower taxes on baked goods. We will ban any discussion of so-called "lies"... For the good of all. Vote AutoNerd 2011.

Look at me.

Look again, the cake is now gold!

jeez you guys are all so mean

I've checked over your thread histories and it appears that design runner has given way more to the community in a short period of time than most of you over several years. Not to mention his work on fps-files. So you're probably thinking "who cares" but he can always get himself motivated to make a good model for the community.

@Phaelaz
When I voted it didn't seem to do anything.

@Autobot: I like to eat babies? That made me laugh so much.

I hope you all haven't gotten off the trail about what we are doing on this thread.

I really do like all of the other candidates however I have yet to see a post from them where they tell what they plan to do for the forum other than random things. I mean yes I do love cake... very much, but I think we are loosing the point of this election. It is to pick someone to represent the forum in it's entirety.

I have been the president for several organizations and have experience of leading that I want to bring before this forum.

I don't just want to run around saying, "Oh look at me I'm the president!" It would actually mean something to me and I would take it to heart. This forum has done a lot for me and I think it is time that I give back to it.

So vote OutdoorGamer for President.

It can succinctly be said that smoking kills. Smoking hot girlfriends, smoking hot secretaries, smoking hot police women and especially smoking hot spies like Angelina Jolie. Very bad for a man's health. Therefore, Obese, I and Pedo, the anti-forest-fire bear, have teamed up in our campaign to help Apolloan's get the courage to stand up to these forest-fire threats. Take a stand against piracy, newbie bashing, and AUP breaches. Join the fight to stop spamming. Support a well run, clean forum! Support Design Runner for President and Poloflece for Vice president, and you won't regret it!
Now a question: what power does the President actually have? Or is it a mock position?

A thing I've noticed about several candidates is that they themselves are not game creators, even though this website is called forum.thegamecreators.com
Though me and design runner differ from many of you. With design runner as a 3d artist and me as a 3d/2d artist/programmer.

We, as it turns out. Actually make games

par exemple

Since we use software like dark basic, wings 3d, ac3d and fps creator, we would be able to provide a greater level of assistance and could address issues with greater ease. With both of us registering under a year ago, it is still a learning experience for us, which allows us to take in new ideas to make the forum an easier, funner, pirate free place to develop your dream game.

Now I'm looking forward to a good joke from that, you meanies (an exception being outdoor gamer, who seems to be the only other person taking this relatively seriously)

Bah! Anyone can call themselves a "game creator" these days. All it takes is a simple bit of coding, and voila! a game!
Myself, I have extensive experience not only with dark basic, but also in managing projects. Having started an open source project a few years ago, I know how to manage a team. OpenFPS might possibly be the most ambitious project ever worked on on these forums. Projects that large take leadership. This is the same leadership that you will get voting for AutoNerd 2011.
