Hah. Over 1500 simple objects and still a reasonable frame rate. Currently using 106 MB of RAM, though.

Nice work Venge! That's fantastic.

@lil marioman:

That's what I thought too, until I put my mind to it and began programming. I ran into several bugs (and still continue to do so, but now it's more typo-bugs than anything), but I still kept at it. Pretty soon (most likely by Wednesday I'll have a level editor that people can download and play with.

I'll stick to using pre-made level editors, thank you very much. I just don't think I have the determination to code my own.

Venge, MSon and myself have all started work on our own level editors, hence all of the 3D talk about them. None of us felt like we should start a thread related to our projects, so we started posting in here (Venge was the first poster I believe, and is who inspired me to start work on my editor).

Sorting preview list
Removing objects from preview list

I'm actually starting to run out of things to add. A couple more things with the editing, and then the big 'un. The load object GUI also means I'll have to create new types for lights and triggers as well as extra attributes for animated objects, and learn the basics of Newton. Then I can have a sort of "debug" mode in the editor, where control is handed over to Newton to make sure there aren't any odd collisions going on, and that everything settles correctly.

Also included the updated editor, or at least the parts that changed. Just replace the existing files with these if you wants ta check it out.

Quote: "Well Code Geass was a very ticky one to put. The storyline, other than wanting to smash his face in for well, no i cant tell you that part, Was a intercutly twisted tale. "

Agreed wholeheartedly.
Quote: "The fight scenes where perfect and thier was no reusage battles."

Also agreed. Fight scenes were very good. There were no battles where the warrior who was obviously hundreds of times stronger in every way imaginable lost for no adequately explained reason. (Fight between Naruto and Sasuke at the waterfall with the statues, Im looking at you.)

Quote: "Though when he used Geass the 2sec clip was used everytime"

True. That bothered me a bit.
Quote: "The Huge Mecha were obviously well thought out, and could actually be feasable with a larger power source."

Indeed. Easily on par with, if not better than, the mecha of Gundam Wing. (My favorite of Gundam Series)
Quote: "No rainbows and happy go lucky times. It was, hmm like the night sky, The stars shine brighter against the black."

Good point. Too often, even the most serious anime gives way to the obligatory "Everything will be super happy sunshine awesomeness very soon" moment.
Quote: "The ending was agmonst the best ive seen for any film, anime or book for that matter."

... Are you sure we're talking about Code Geass here? WORST ENDING EVER! When I first saw the ending, I honestly thought that it was some kind of prank that the TV station was pulling. I just couldn't believe that an author who had written such an excellent, entertaining, and well-thought-out story could have possibly been capable of such a god-awful, pathetic, poorly planned, ridiculous, and unfitting ending.
I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you are either delirious from your hospitalizing illness, or that you were being sarcastic about your thoughts on the ending.
If you truly thought the ending was good in any way, be prepared to explain why. That ending came completely out of nowhere, and did not fit the rest of the story remotely.

So what if I talk to myself? Its the only way i can have an intelligent conversation around here.

Sorry, i forgot to say why.

At first i honestly hated the ending, i mean it was diabolical after all, i mean Maytr for the worlds hate was ehh'' i would have just got schnizer to do that. But then the penny dropped.

Him killing himself as a tyrant actually worked if you think back, thier were hints across the entire story line, but the very ending well he didnt actualy die did he? C2 was talking to him. So in all his genius it was actually pretty well thought out. I figured he was immortal, so the being stabbed and dying was all just a show to have him the single most hated thing in the world die, Its pretty much a grand scale distraction tactics. Think of it on the same lines of jesus taking sins to his death.

At a point of two huge conflicting ideas, the stroyline has to be good to throw me off balance. so in other words it has too be good for me to be undecidedly balanced. The hints were subtle but you could still see thegoodness in his actions, Keeping everyone you love at arms length, when his friend tried to climb the barrier, his sister- if he had kept her in golden clothes she would have been killed aswell as a acomplace. So it was the greatest plan he had which was started the second he left C2's world.

Ill need more time to finally place it, but it was good throughout so never he less, i was time well spent.

Quote: "Him killing himself as a tyrant actually worked if you think back, thier were hints across the entire story line,"

Yes, looking back there were a few hints at that. However, that doesn't change the fact that its a stupid, horrible ending.
Lets say I wrote a story about a kingdom at war and its going to be destroyed if the king can't negotiate peace, and I had it end with the enemy king dying and his daughter, who we had never seen before, takes over the enemy kingdom and just ends the war. That would be horrible! The kings daughter was never seen or explored as a character, and she's only briefly mentioned as hating the war a few times. (Hinted at, if you will...)
A horrible ending is still horrible, no matter how it is hinted at or foreshadowed.
Quote: "but the very ending well he didnt actualy die did he?"

uhh.. Yeah, he DID die.
Quote: "C2 was talking to him"

Yes, but he was still dead. CC was by herself on that wagon. She was talking to him as one would talk to a deceased loved one, almost like in prayer. She was talking to Lelouch in the way that a religious person talks to god. He wasn't physically there in person next to her, but she was talking more to his memory.
Quote: "Think of it on the same lines of jesus taking sins to his death."

That doesn't really work when you think about it. The bible says that mankind was sinning and acting horribly and would have to be punished (IE, die and go to hell) for their sins. So, God sent Jesus to die for mankind's sins FOR THEM.
Lelouch died as a hated figure so that the hate would die with him, and not be passed on to the next ruler.
Jesus died because the people were doing wrong.
Lelouch died because the rulers and leaders were doing wrong.

Also, how could Suzaku assume the role of Zero and kill Lelocuh when Suzkau WAS ALREADY DEAD? He died in his fight with Kallen.

I honestly would have preferred that LeLouch just REALLY become a horrible tyrant and rule with an iron fist and kill all those who speak out against him. Even THAT would've been better than the real ending.
I honestly cannot believe that an author who crafted such an intricate and compelling story couldn't come up with a better ending than that if they tried. Its as if the series follows this timeline:

Start: Intriguing...
Middle: AWESOME!
Nearing the end: HOLY CRAP THIS IS SWEEEEEET!
Final ending: What in the name of crack-smoking hell just freaking happened? Are they serious? THAT'S the ending? WHAT THE HECK?!

So what if I talk to myself? Its the only way i can have an intelligent conversation around here.

I suppose your right about trying to dress it up, thoug lelouch isnt actually dead me thinks, The cart driver person, it goes for a unessacery pan of a hooded face, then at the last words where Right lelouch? as she tilted her head towards the driver.

Though the actual aurthr left it for interpretation.

ehh i still think in the whole of it in high standards anyways ^_^

Lazerus, that looks great!

Okay, so, I start my computer up early this morning and when it loads I get an immediate error message: "Cannot load module sshnas.dll". I continue computing and everything seems fine. Then I got curious and decided to Google it, in case it turned out that I could easily replace it if it's important. I then found out it's a trojan, which may also explain why IE randomly turns on and goes to sites that advertise random things (everything from shampoo to bipolar meds), which is a key hint of spyware. My question is, does anybody know if there's any more damage that could be done? I ran Avira and it said everything was fine, but I'm not so sure. Also, if sshnas.dll is really a trojan, then how come Windows is looking for it and giving me an error message when it can't find it?

I really hate stupid little hiccups like this. I'm downloading Spybot and I'll see if it finds anything.

remeber that virus thread were i was talkig about my sis's laptop?

Yeah it never worked out too good. Download firefox for now to stop it pestering you, Dont ebay and the sort, itll probably track you password's if not better to be safe than very sorry right?

If file bot dosnt find it, get filefox, a unlocker and shredder programs aswell and delete IE' download IE again through firefox and that should sort that problem out.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks Laz. I haven't had IE pop since I've started my computer again (around an hour ago), so I guess Avira eradicated whatever it was that was causing it to open back when I had my computer on around 7AM. Still running Spybot to see if there's any "leftovers" though.

Holy crap. No internet, electricity, heat, food, or water for 3 days straight in my house. Been living off of sandwiches, melted snow, and restaurant/fast food. Recently stocked up on pop, so that's good. A huge blizzard hit and totally obliterated Southern West Virginia with 14"+ of snow. I'm at my grandmother's house at the moment using her internet. Won't have electricity until around the 27th, so there goes Christmas at my house. Haven't had a good bath in days. Been wearing the same outfit for 3 days, also. Hair feels like a giant pan filled with grease. At least we got Monopoly...

Just a small thing to add, if you believe in a God, care to pray for my family and the others going through this? We need all the help we can get right now, really.

We had something like that a couple years ago here. Half inch of ice + 6 inches of snow + subzero temperatures means most of the town was out of power for a week. They said it would take longer to get power back, but we had a couple warm days and it was back up pretty soon.

I just wished there were people actually working on getting the power back. Driving down the road I see all of these power lines still lying there and yet not a single group of people working to fix them. Maybe then I'd be a little hopeful of the power coming on soon, but I don't think it'll be on by the 27th if they continue this rate of work.

I'd sort of rather pray for the hungry, dying, sick and moneyless children living in Africa etc, to be honest. If I prayed at all, that is, which I don't. Praying seems a waste of time that could be used actually solving the problem.

what would happpen if you tried to fill a leaky bath?

It'd leak. The power consumption would be unreal if they tried to turn in back on prematurly. As for the water, its probaly busted the pipes when it froze so same principle. There going to start at the source before they fix the actual bath. // anaglies FTW //

I dont pray, so thats why my sympathies are with you, who needs the middle man

Has anyone here got an .exe called "nStant Media" in their nVidia drivers? It's not mentioned in any of the installer and no shortcuts are provided but it's a bloody awesome media centre that does GPU DVD decoding. It's so fluid and easy to use and it's using 9% of my CPU constant because all the CPU has to do is decode audio and pass video data to the GPU.

I'm really quite suprised they don't make more of it.

Does it still count as no-scope if it's point blank? I thought the idea was that it's difficult to hit faraway targets without crosshairs, but when you're that close it doesn't really matter.

Anyway, mine's better.
