This is the W.I.P thread of BVG´s new game.
We now have a name for the game: Silent Depths

Story: When the laws became to protective for the people and the taxes went to high 2009, some people got enough.
You were not allowed to drink any kind of alcohol, test medicine´s on animals or people, use any kind of swearwords or even show violent or any other kind of shocking material in television.
A gang of rich men and women built their own world, where none could reach them, where they could do whatever they wanted to and didnt have to pay any taxes, under water.
And anybody who liked to join their new world just had to fill a form and they could start their new life.

Because peolpe almost could do everything some scientists started to make a new kind of medicin, a medicin that could cure almost everything.
The scientists made succes on their new sensation, the people they tested it on got healthy.

Now, five years later, the peolpe in Europe was affected by a new plague. Once again spread by rats the plague hit the people hard.
The leaders in Europe had heard rumours about the new medicin and You are sent to the new world to get it...

But what if you came to a world, and nothing was there? Would you continue your mission, or fight for life?


This is an adventure, puzzle, horror game almsot like Myst and such games.
I will try to not include any wepaons, instead I will work more on the story to create the ultimate horrorgame.

I can't wait dude. What skybox did you use to make it look like everything was underwater. I've been wondering that since before I heard of BioShock, and to anyone who says its "to much BioShock" , who cares, it's awesome. And he said it's not much of a shoot 'em up, but dude, how can you make a game like that and not shoot people in it. That's all the fun in it. Keep it up, can't wait for more.

I dont think I will put enimies in the game, the FPSC enemies looks kind of ridicolus with thei AI and animations so it wouldnt be that scarry with a zombie just standing there, 2 meters away and just look at you

I made it myself with skies and photoshop. It was almsot to easy

If someone got an idea of the name of the game feel free to tell me.
I was going to call the game after the city but dont have a name for the city either.

And then a quick question: Does anyone know how to remove the biohazard icon on the windows? I tried to make a simple retexture but it didnt work.

Nice! Thanks but I cant use it for some reason.
I tried to change the texture but it didnt work. It still had that biohazard sign on it. I use full lightmap, high texture and full shaders. Is that a problem for the texture?

You place the texture in the secondary texture underneath the main texture.

Cool idea but you basiclly took the whole concept of Bioshock (with underwater city part). I'm not mad that you did but I'm just stating the obvious. Even if you didn't play it... it still has among the same essance.

I know its to much Bioshock in it, but I am going to make it more so it isnt.
But because I havent played Bioshock I dont know whats the same and not. Bu I am gonna do my best.

Soons finished with my fist level, Its not the longest level but anyways.

I also can make 3D models, but becuse of some strange reason, I can't download the latest Direct X and other stuff, so I need to get my orginal computer back first.

This is what the levels will be:
Level 1: Boarding zone, City Mall
Level 2: Schoolsection
Level 3: Residential area
Level 4: Residential area, inside one or more houses
Level 5: Engine room for airpressure/ aircleaning
Level 6: First researchfacillity
Level 7: Underwater natioanl park

I think this is awesome, and i don't think you should make it too much away from Bioshock. Just because its an underwater city doesn't mean its a copy. Think of all the games from the concept of other FPS like Counter Strike, Doom and many more.

Also i think this game would be pretty awesome with the idea of puzzles to escape scenarios etc..

you will need to make the windows unbreakable though,
i mean, it will be a bit weird if the player shoots a window in an underwater city and does'nt end up drowning in the resulting flood

If you are able to do models I could have use for you right now because I need somekind of fishes, sharks, octopussys and such tings. I would like them as characters so they can follow waypoints outside the window, It would be a cool effect.

This game would be perfect fit for x10, say if you shoot a window you could set the water to rise, and would have to move upwards into and airlock door or something like that before drowning.

Nice idea, and to make it look better, spawn a decal (if you can in X10) that looks like flowing water, that would rule!

Not sure if you realised, but instead of attempting to retexture your windows...just set the texture to:

..and you have biohazard free-windows.
