You hate microsoft and/or you are a super duper serious gamer and/or you just love the playstations and/or you hate the xbox360 controller and/or... well other reasons involving corny speaches about "the power of the ps3" or you are waiting for the bulk of the games to get here. whew.


NOTE: I have played every system. alot. And these are my gathered opinions. I am not overly a fan of one system, I am neutral. The end.

Based on what?

Shouldn't this be:

360 .................. 10
Wii .................. 8
PS3 .................. 10

Where 10 is the cutting edge of graphics and 1 is basic 2D.

The one that's better is the one that you like to play more. For example. IMO, Xbox 360 is better because you can develop for it, AND it's cheaper... At the same time the PS3 is better because that's what Kingdom Hearts 3 is gonna be likely to come out on (Plus Genji: Days of the Blade is already out on it). (KH3 might not come out, it's just rumors, but if it does come out, PS3 is likely target)

On to the 360, mmm..hardcore, offering up a challenge worthy of using more than 1% of your reflexes- Gears of War on Insane difficulty, higher levels of geometry wars, Dead Rising trying to last for seven days with nearly no provisions and everyone is an enemy, COD, Halo, Morrowind, Fable...list goes on brotha.

I do not hate ms, I do not hate sony, and I damn sure don't hate Big N, but the fact that you would dare to generalize "serious" hardcore gamers to one system is highly insulting. I suppose all of these arcade classics are no longer extreme either.

As far as the ps3 goes, when sony shows me something that is actually playable besides motorstorm, they will not be in my good graces, I don't care if it looks good enough for them to be right next to me..if it ain't fun I'm not playing it.

BE careful labeling gamers, there are those older ones like me that have played a lot of systems and I for one don't like having all of that just cast aside for a black box that isn't really that great anyway.

but rember the there are a lot of problems with the 360, i just got mine back for over heating and now it scratches disc and they want be to pay them £10 each to replace 3 disc with games i don't even want. so i have to give £30 even though they are all comming to the same place at the same time! They knew at the time of release that this console was not ready and still 2 years later they still haven't fixed it.

im stating to think of trading it in to get a ps3

If we're talking about graphics lets not embarrass the Wii

The PS3 kicks ass, looks amazing, (haven't played one so can't comment on how it feels), and it's fast. buuut... its a crazy project that has turned into this huge all-powerful machine that will take over the world and is so expensive that it's just showing off
I still would like to play one before I buy but for now I am leaning towards PS3, it seems more future proofed than the XBox
If I was 14 I would want the XBox

People took back alot of ps3s due to its disk thingy it jams the disc inside of it and then you have scratches. And yes 360 has problems that is why they are releasing a heat sink for the 360 and of-course the elite has one. And apparently half of the 360's problems are gone due to the Heat sink. This is where Microsoft went wrong you see, they made the 360 too compact so it has over-heating. You can buy heat-sinks.

well 360 is practically turning into a computer..sony should really just make interactive cutscenes and the wii is the ulitmate party console and in my mind, the only one that is a console.

Haha, this one made me laugh because it's true.

As far as I'm concerned the PS3 has Motorstorm and Resistance: Fall of Man. That's it.

The Wii number should be closer to 4 or 5. 360 can remain at assloads

EDIT:

Oops--- I forgot about Heavenly Sword. PS3++

I agree, the others do try to be multi purpose consoles (the ps3 tries harder than the 360 though) and i like the fact ninty have kept it simple, i already have things that play dvd's and music, i don't need another.

And all the multiplatform games you'll find on the 360

There's only one exclusive Wii title worth owning, and its Metroid Prime 3. Everything else has either been pretty shallow, or is on another console.

Xbox 360 vs PS3?

Xbox of course. I would of prefered the Elite one though to the original. A while back it was being used without me, and left on for about 12 hours in the end, it's been 3 months since I've sent for repair/replacement, I've only now got confirmation that it will be 2 weeks until I can play it. I really can't wait to play Halo 3 and Bioshock, they're right next to me on the table too.

rofl okay dude. I guess remakes of old games mean the newer ones are exactly the same game. There ARE differences between the games. I've played both of them...

I haven't really played a sports game since NBA Jam on the SNES lol. Although Madden on the Wii was okay, I actually thought about getting it.

Twilight Princess was on the GC, and arguably better. Paper Mario has pretty shallow gameplay, not that its a bad game, I just can't be bothered to waste my time just to have fun. Especially having a couple of decades of experience playing video games, its just not as appealing as it once used to be.

Nothing will ever beat the final battle for me in TP, it was very cool on the wii, I mean in the zelda series, there are tons of other moments that totally destroy it.

Honestly, I can't stand playing Madden, but I enjoyed the Wii version. Something about the feel of it made it more understandable. The AI needs a lot of work though.

I've heard a lot of people say their XBox has "fried" or "suffered from the three rings of death", and many are still without replacements.
How big is this problem and does the XBox Elite's heat sync solve it?

The 360 has always seemed very fragile to me. Seeing as it can over heat if left on rugs, and if bumped around a bit can break, and of course the three rings of death. Don't get me wrong, I love the 360, but shouldn't it be more durable?

they have only just started putting 65nm chips in so most of the elites have heating problems, some might have the disc scratching problem as well like mine

nope theres a piece of metal in the drive tray that comes in contact with the disc and so makes it compeletly unplayable.

Microsoft should have test the 360 for a extra year instead of trying to get it out early, thats why i traded mine in for a ps3 a couple of days ago

there a enough games to keep me happy, i used to support microsoft with the 360 but now i have exprienced their poor build qulity and rubbish customer service i would prefer to have any other console and from now on im not going to buy any other microsoft console (but still windows )

i mean poorly buit as in they didn't test it first (heat and disc problems). I have only called sony once and that was about the psp and they a lot better than microsoft
