Sorry for the double post, but I decided to remake to story and possibly the game's name. Remember the old FtC thread, the one with around 350 posts? Let me find it: http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=102105&b=25

I'm not sure about the whole development thing, but the game may need to be downgraded to v0.5, the oldest one that I've provided a link to. No story, the name is Failure to Cooperate. I may need some help; I'll try and get some screens up. The game's weapons will now be just the MP 6 ones.

EDIT: Also, if any of the MODs are listening, I ask permission to make an old thread if you lock this one, thank you.

Huh?

I didn't pinky swear...

Anyways, I'll wait for an answer from a moderator; this thread should be put out of it's misery.

Fresh start implies that a start already exists...which doesn't seem to be the case with FtC.

I think you actually need to make the game, not another thread. Please don't start another until you have a definite storyline with a good level or so of the game made. At the moment these threads are just empty promises and screenshots of MP3.

FTC doesnt need a fresh start. it needs to START. my games may not be the best out there, but knowing that, i KEEP GOING to make it better. i dont quit and start all over. how do/did you even do you're school homework? did you rewrite a 13 page essay 300 times? games are the same way. if you dont stay dedicated you'll never get anything done. dont start a new thread until over 3/4 of this game is finished. then think if you really want to to start all over again.

what doesn't kill me makes me stronger; but if something kills me, I'm not that strong am I?

Well, I just don't know what to do. I'm messed up; and I don't know why. I'll try and work on FtC. In the meantime, the story is virtually non-existant, All I have is that you're a SF (Special Forces) spy/soldier, and you are to find out the conspiracy between German militias and the US government. One of the levels is going to be set in an underground subway, which is what I'll be working on soon. Business keeps me from FPSCing, I'm just not in the mood. But one thing is that once I get going, I cannot stop, like an overamped Energizer Bunny.

Haha...riiiight.

I've a question: could someone with MP 9 & 10 make a video (make it a .wmv attachment, please) of all of the weapons so I could see what they look like (the final versions, I mean)? I'm interested in these two MPs (along with MP1) and I just want to see what they're like.

If I was you, I'd just take my money out of my wallet of whatever and set it on fire because whatever money you plan to put in this 2,000th rebirth of this game... is useless. Just make a real game, maybe even a 1 level game and stop tossing around new plots and crap.

Weapons should be one of the last things you worry about. Get your level sorted, get the storyline sorted, THEN get the AI and guns sorted.

Stop stalling.

I will be making an office building today or tomorrow.

This game (WIP name is Failure to Cooperate) will be revised if I ever get MP 9 & 10. Weapons in a game can affect the game's story. Currently, FtC is just a placeholder name, so any suggestions and advice, I'll listen.

Here, now I'm not so boring.

This is the only picture I have left of this game on my PC. Everything else is deleted.

Also, a very minor plot is that the main character is a rookie officer in the CIA. No name yet. That's all I have. Everything else: name, story, levels, etc. is nonexistant.

I will not be working on the game for a while (at least 'till I get $40.00 for MPs 9 & 10), so if this thread dies, then I will make a new one. Capische?

From the rules just incase you're still thinking of another thread.

And i'm sure there is something somewhere which states that you should only post games that are worth showing. This doesn't fit into that category, you've made everyone bored to tears with your stupid changes and empty promises. It isn't even funny anymore...

I would advise that you don't post anymore about this game until you have a final story and atleast 1/4 of your levels done...

Screen looks bland and hurts my eyes... That's really all i can say :S

I was expecting that; AI strikes again...
On the flip side (good news), I have a few names for this game (I will be referring to it as "empty" until I have a few names selected.

Here they are, with names in () being abbreviations:
Covert (Cvrt)
Battalion of the Shadows (BotS)
Lights Out (LO)
Shadow Storm (ShaSto)
Insecure Nation (IN)
Violent Espionage (VE)
Bloody Metal (BM)
Army of One (AoO)
Millisoldier (Milsol)
...and other names that have to do with espionage and the CIA can be posted. This game will be similar to what a first-person Splinter Cell would be like, only with limited spying, more violence and blood. Hope "empty" will have some progress done soon.

This might as well be the last post of this thread...MODs, after this post, may you please lock this thread? Thank you.

After several thoughts about "empty", I decided that the game will not be using a stealthish aspect. Hopefully I come up with $40 so I can get my hands on MPs 9 & 10. The first level is currently in preproduction. The only things I can release about it is that it'll be set inside the CIA HQ in Langley, Virginia. Your character will just be walking around, getting used to the controls, etc. I still have no name for the main character or the game, though the names "Silent Omniverse" and "Integral" have been selected. I might go with Integral, since the game puts you in the role as an integral part of the CIA Black Operators; your character is an intel gatherer, a hacker, and an international guard, who works covertly and solo in many countries. This game will, taking a page from good ol' Splinter Cell, have a political story background, which in one of the levels, you'll have to assassinate the enemy's country's president. I'm thinking the country should be the terrorists' location of base, which could be in Finland or Iceland, or even Norway.

Integral should have its own, new thread by tomorrow or Sunday. Goodbye FtC, I knew ye well.

I bet y'all a hundred bucks that his new game's gonna change story/name/design/overall idea within two months. Who dares bet against me?

Seriously, AI, could you for once really try and stick to ONE idea and make it something before changing everything?

Yes, I'll try and stick with Integral. I'll try and work on it today (and that rule in the AUP, I've never gotten scolded by a mod for making more than one thread). And the rule says "for the same topic," which means that a different game thread, technically, isn't the same topic.

It was actually refering to a little while back when you said "i'll make a new thread".

I for one won't be following up this game. I won't call it "integral" becuase that will change in a week or two.

We've been preaching to AI for almost a year now (last May, or earlier I think), and he hasn't changed. Here are our options:

A. Continue preaching
B. Stop preaching
C. Find a new target to preach to

Oh, alrighty then.

The game has been changed.

AI's WiP game
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Name: Kola
Setting: Kola Peninsula, northern Russia; Moscow, Russia
Enemies in game: SPETSNAZ (Russian Special Forces); Moscow Police
Number of Levels: Around 25-30
Story: none yet
Weaponry: (hopefully) MP 9 & 10
Main character: CIA Agent/Elite Guard Vincent "Mary" Marbourough
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

That's all of the info I have. Hopefully I can come up with 50 more dollars so I can get MPs 9 & 10 and MP 1. Enjoy the bump/update thing.

Sorry man, I don't think so. Kola & Failure to Cooperate are both great names, but I don't know which one tp pick. If I use Failure to Cooperate, people may think this will happen again, this whole changing thing, but Kola tells where the game is set in, basically two important factors for a game: name and setting. I...I keep changing things, I don't know why; maybe I'd better see a therapist.

Seriously, I'm sticking with Kola. New year, new me. Apparently the new me has woken up a bit too late into 2008. I'll make a WIP level, make some screens, and post a new thread.
