Hope the new forum has signatures that change when you change it in the profile; I like updating a signate without having to worry about the fact that i'll need to edit a number of recent posts just for all of them to be equal.

I look forward to seeing the new details on vanMesh and vanSketch. To be honest I am kinda looking forward to vanSketch, cause currently I use Alias|Sketchbook Pro; would be interesting to see something similar done in DBP

Because I trust that he has a good grip on graphic abilities, and I've never ever seen any of his games.

There are lots of people on this forum that I would be interested in seeing something from, not just Raven (no offense if you've released something that I have missed): Mouse, Exeat, o_0, neophyte, Z Interactive... this list could go on

(Just kidding about Z BTW)

I'll be keeping an eye on this thread for as long as it sticks around!

Hey, thanks JeKu . I am working on something right now... a very big project though, and nothing will be ready for a while. Something smaller, but rather cool IMO, you may see in the next few days from me is a pretty neat 20-liner . If it's ready by Friday, I suppose I'll post it here for sh... coffee and giggles.

Hehe no prob, Mouse. Oh yeah, and I must include Mr. X (or whatever he calls himself now) in that list of names. I see him post here several times a day but I would like to see something released by him too.

most of the time my work is part of other ppls' projects Jeku
guess it all depends on if people bother reading the credits to know what certain guys have done.

Exeat is another one who seems to be more of a 'behind the scenes' kinda guy, not really sure about any of the others though.

Well, Exeat does have his Visual Basic Dll's, so we know he's not a fake.

Lord Ozzmon/Mr.X, I'd love to see something from him.

Neophyte I know does shaders. Plus he's pretty handy for C++ and other programming.
-------------------------------------
Anyway, perhaps while we're waiting this may be a good time to start hyping up some of my stuff.

Posted a website earlier, but will re-do it properly sometime soon, until then though, here's a new screenshot of Land Build.

Raven: I usually look at credits for most of my games out of respect, but unless you're using the name Raven, I wouldn't know who you are :p

His name's Robert Lettan .

MikeS-> looks fantastic. Does it dynamically alter mesh polys based on detail, and if so, how variable is the tesselation?

Yeah, I prefer Plugin-making as others have said (thank you ) Mainly:

The VB6 DLL Wrapper: http://www.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=26828&b=1

DBP_NETLIB (Made in cooperation with CattleRustler of course): http://www.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=31598&b=5

Oh, and I made some stupid Advanced Msgbox plugin as well lol: Warning: This is just a screenshot of a Msgbox in DBP - it is useless

As far as DBP work goes, I haven't 'officially' done anything, I just give people a hand if they need it. Maybe I should do something... but y'know.

@MikeS

"Neophyte I know does shaders. Plus he's pretty handy for C++ and other programming."

Although its true that I certainly do shaders, I'll be honest and admit I don't really know a whole lot of C++.

Anyway, I do have other projects that I work on its just that they can't be shown or aren't really worth looking at. A screenshot of the compiler isn't possible or interesting for that matter. A screenshot of my iso game that I'm working on is possible though at this stage it really isn't worth looking at thanks to my gameplay-first-graphics-last mentality.

But thanks for mentioning me though.

It's readable, it's just written in an alphabet I doubt anyone hear knows . It's not a different language, it's just English with a different set of characters. Making it ever easier, there are no capitals or numbers, and there are some striking visual similiarities to the English alphabet. The toughest part is probaly making it past the JPEG compression -- I didn't want to have a nasty, slow-loading signiture for those people on 56k. See if you can figure it out .

I did'nt get much done this week, most of my progress on vanMESH has been internal (normals and scripting mainly) - so I'll leave posting info on vanMESH and vanSKETCH until I have some example work to show.

I also decided to hold onto Jetpac for a little while so I can make more levels and aliens for it, probably be able to upload that at the end of the month.

I am waiting on DBSPOT getting back to me with FTP instructions for OIE Second Edition, however I have started a post and added a couple of screenies over here:

Looks good Van!

I agree with Jimmy. It's not going to happen. There were no screenshots. If there is an amazing project I doubt it's half as impressive as he'd like us to think. And there's going to be no demo. Raven's going to pretend he never said Friday, and his clique will back him up with praise. The Wheel of Time turns...

(Though I'll give it 14 hours before saying that the above is more than conjecture . The mouse plays it safe.)

**** crawls outta bed to post ****

Judging from prior experiences... This is alot more Hullabalula then we(I) usually see from Raven, but then again some of us still remember Zelda the Shadow Pyramid, or whatever the hell that was.

Although From reading, i'd be rather suprised if Raven posted in the thread till friday... he'll just look and curse us all.

Not meant to have any flaming manner of any sort (heheh, a slight change from my usual "DAMN RAVEN" attidude eh?").

Well I may as well post my current project...Japers Capers. It's back in production. This screenshot is actually 3 screens in length, and it scrolls, so it looks small on here at the moment. These graphics are my temporary graphics. The real graphics will be rendered in 3D.

ANd YEEAAHHH I Remember Zelda shadow thingy! That WAS Raven. Bah ahhahah, wow, and we all forgot about it, just as he planned.

But we can't forget about this one! We must PERSIST until he gives in and either admits he's a quackin hack or shows us SOMETHING. Never give up, my beautiful soldiers!

by my reckoning it's 11:05 pm across the pond, less than 1 hour until English Saturday. Where is Raven off to?

Hope we see something for all this fuss. Or was the date officially pushed back ?
