yeah thought the shirt was wrong, oh wait tifa was the one with 1 pony tail and the white shirt. i was thinkin she had pigtails. still tifa was the mad bomb over aeirs, she was totally tomboy where as aeris was all feminine, which is also cool. but it was harsh how cloud liked aeris and tifa liked him from kids etc.

Hmmm, the way sage tech sits here and takes abuse, makes me think he's gonna be into BDSM when he grows up. I mean he sits here, people call him a "Lying Liar" and then he just sits there and takes it. I think he enjoys this, and this is how he sleeps at night...

These are the thoughts that I have after a long night... no wonder i'll never get anywhere.

TravisP: You bought the poster!?! I never waste the money on movie posters before it comes out unless its a tarantino film. I usually "Procure" them form the movie theater after i've seen them. My collection of movie posters as of right now includes:

Ill probably pass FF7 again before the movie comes out (6th time), Im just so obsessed about it (still). Yeah, I guess it was kinda harsh, Aeris jumping in there between Cloud and Tifa. But even so, Aeris died, so it's not a real issue now, heh.

I still don't get what's the deal with Tifa and Aeris liking Zack. When you go to Zack's parents house (Uhh, forgot the name of the city..) with them both, they walk out side, and get all wierd. Ahh, I wont get too in depth.

Anyway, tis my favourite game, old as it might be. And I think I pulled some kind of record, beating last boss, 'Safer Sephiroth' in one hit...

But btw, like my new sig? Notice the faded text? lol

who is zack? i always knew the blonde guy as cloud, or is he called zack when you look into his past ? i havent played it in years an di never got past the three phase boss of that lab guy 2nd disc somewhere, and the city is midgard i think.

Zack is Cloud's spiky black haired friend from when he was in SOLDIER with Sephiroth and all that. In all the flashbacks, cloud is pretending to be who Zack is, you see cloud in all these wierd situations but its actually Zack. This is all explained in the 3rd disk.

After you get out of Midgar (yes thats the city), Cloud and the gang go to Kalm, and there is like a whole thing where you play as Sephiroth with who you think is cloud - but is actually Zack. In the Nibelhiem reactor, Zack (who we thought was cloud) challenges Sephiroth after Sephiroth burns down Zacks hometown, he is left almost killed. Then Sephiroth walks out, and the real Cloud throws him into the depths of the mako reactor (after being stabbed in the chest), Sephiroth is taken to the Northern island place, and is trapped in a cocoon.
After all this, Cloud and Zack are taken into a laboratory where they have some experiments performed on themselves. But manage to escape. When they do, Cloud and Zack are on a bus toward Midgar, Cloud is feeling really sick.

Zack on the bus from Clouds eyes, blurry because Cloud is sick at this point:

When they get close to Midgar, Zack is shot down by some Shinra soldiers, and Cloud escapes into Midgar. He is feeling sick, and is lying on the floor of Sector 7, thats when Tifa finds him. And so, the game begins from that point...

The truth was, that Cloud thought he was Zack, so his memories were screwed (I think after the experiments, cant remember this part). And he leads others to believe this throughout the game, so you - the player, are left friggin confuzed.......well, thats all I gotta say

I used hero drink on cloud, then omnislash. Friggin 9999 damage per hit (15 hits) = 149,985 DAMAGE!!!!

Nono. He was shot by shinra soldiers after escaping with cloud from the lab in Nibelhiems mansion (underground). After Zack challenges sephy, he doesnt die, he almost does. Thats how soldiers take him and cloud to the lab. Cloud is almost too killed by Seph. But as sephiroth strikes him in the chest, Cloud grabs the Masamune, and throws Sephiroth down into the Mako (This being the reactor). Then the part not show is the capturing of him and Zack..

Remember in the mansion lab? There are scratch marks on the pods "Eating time" , "Nows our chance" (to escape). Those words were made by Cloud and Zack scratching notes to eachother, planning to escape - which they did.

Well i knew they escaped... i've just never been sure about the whole "Zack shot down outside of midger"... cause at that point Cloud was sick and delusional... but ya never know

yeah so i was right zack was the name of the guy in the past. all comin bak to me now, including that cat thign that drove the bigger cat suit.

edit: i just watched the trailers, this movie is going to kick a lot of arse, even though its in a language i dont understand, but im gonna cry cause they show the scene where he lowers aeris into the water if there is a more sadder moment in gaming history, i've nto seen it, now to go download the game for pc as its much easier than gting out my ps1

Yeah, was kinda saddening - But it all adds up to a good story at that, infact, I think its the best storyline for any RPG I've played, ever...
Dont worry, It will be in english too. There was even an english trailer shown at E3 last year. Being released, sometime later this year. (or so they say)
Every time I think of this game (FF7), I get a strong sense of nostalgia - I wanna pass it, again, and again, and again...and so on. Just such a great story to it all. Then there's Ehrgeiz, the FF7 fighting game. Played it anyone?




Just get a Ps emulator - I do. I had the origonal, but sold my PS1, so now I play my games on the comp. But, I always wanted to try the PC one......if you find it, care to email me?? -~That would make my year..

nah i heard about that game a while back, i dunno, kin aruining the ff7 mood. I plucked out my ps1 before and got past the first reactor, btu then had to make dinner. its like 37 degrees here or some sheet and opening the window just lets hotter air in. so im gonna pass out for a while after eating the spicy hot dinner i made, then mayb eif the tv room is free i can play some more, ff7 on the big screen rear projection, was so awesome to hear the music and see aeris's face again but also disheartening, cause i kno wwhat happens to her

Yeah, I have Ehrgiez. Not exactly a FF7 fighting game though. Had characters like "Yo-Yo-Yoko" small little police girl.... with a freakin yo yo of doom

It had a full 3d enviroment to fight in... pretty good arcade mode.

The FF7 characters in it are Cloud, Tifa, Vincent, Yuffie, and Sephiroth. There is one thats like RedXIII... but isn't exactly RedXIII.

Theres also a full fledged RPG included... not in the FF style.. more in the traditional RPG style. Fun as hell, though i never actually completed it. You see, i never ended up using clair in the whole game.. then at the end (well near it) when the old man dies and you have to go and revive him using her.... well i don't have the patience to level her up now that most of the floors have little to no enemys . I'll probably start a new game this weekend if time permits (and if i can find the game CD... been like 2 years since i played it ).

And about the FF7 PC version, i don't like it for 1 fact only. They made the music MIDI because at the time, most people had Sh*t poor Soundcards, that couldn't help it. So all the music is in midi.. and that includes one winged angel.

umm...Knights of the Round is by far the best summon......I bet the game plenty of times back in 97 or 98...

Oh yeah, and I too have Ehrgeiz, just havent played in like 3 months.
It does mess up the FF7 mood, but, the omnislash is fun to watch.
FF7 too, havent played that even longer - I'll start tommorow probably...

LOL, never got past the first disc. Got it when I was too young to really be any good at it so just used Xploder cheats. Then the disc got super scratched so it wouldn't work on the PS1, found the disc about 4 years later in the garage, tried it in the PS2 and it worked.

Going to start it again some time but just orderd Star Ocean: till the end of time for PS2, meant to be almost as good, if not better, then FF10 (although I never really liked FF10, too linear.)

Here's hoping someone has the bright idea to release FF7 on PSP.

@NathF: I GS'd Aeris back into the game just to see how she'd fight if things had gone a little differently. And yes, Great Gospel is the best limit break ever, especially since it can be mimed (with the right materia combination and a glitch I found, Aeris would use GG and KotR every time she was hit. Needless to say, I never lost a fight afterwards )

LOL, that mustve been strong. But it gets boring waiting for notr to finish - its too damn long. Jus get yourself a quad-cut (from double-cut), and kill everyone in the same time with Cloud, that's what I did, lol.

Yeah those weapons are friggin tough. I think I only beat 2 of them. The underwater one, and the Ultima weapon one.

ive tried to do that, ive tried to fit in, but it doesnt work, weather its being picked last in all sports or groaning when i sit by someone at lunch. Which is why ive come to believe friends are useless and they only slow you down.

Also i havent finished my menu, music, models (though i could use one from the darkmatter collection). just hold on, it'll come.

We have all officially become Sage Tech fanboys, posting uselessly in this thread, awaiting the relase of the demo. I think that's an accomplishment for Sage there dudes .

So to hell with all the whining and such, how's it going on development?

well, since i just made a transition from db to dbpro, im finding that some of the things i did prieveously are now obsolete. therefore im rewriting some things, I also am redoing the side bar with a different texture and layout, acording to the concept art im medeling it after, Music wise ive got some good tunes "im using FL studio, which i find great for bieng free) as for the multiplayer, things are running smoothly but i am running test after test, this weekend i plan to put a load of people on the server to test lag and connection. And last but not least, models,....well, i need help on that aspect, alought of help.

the demo is free

well humans would be nice, but seing how most people have quite a bit of problems with them, anything that looks like a charchter (heck a stick person would do!) would be much apriecieated. Though i would like to ask, what program do you use for modeling


i was saying im to lazy to make a charachter so i just use a sphere for my player.

Your parents can force pioano out of you for about five years. After that you get into some intense stuff (http://college.hmco.com/history/west/mosaic/chapter13/source392.html) that is just impossible without self discipline.
Also, y'konw that wasn't SageTech's post right?

i epieremented with buzz machines but i find FL studio is way better and user friendly . Just a random thought

Really, get some friends, hell none of my friends are like me, none of them like games or like to program, but they are my friends, because I make them laugh, and because they think I'm cool to hang out with, dude get some damn friends!

ok then.......anyway @digitalmodr, i see you were postingto join a team er something? Well i saw that you say you have programming skills, and i am currently working with a team who, how shall i say it, are not capable of much becize (i like that word spelt wrong, o ya!) concept art and some non programming related activities. so i would like to request your assitince (if you wish) since your in search of a team. and dont worry, Sage Tech is not a cult and you dont have to report to a "leader" like a certain soft vision.
