sspike: Well i'll email this to you aswell in case you dont see it here but the main jazz character is 1700 poly so under that !...preferably under 1000, basically the lower the better as I want to get lots of critters on the screen at the same time !
If this is too restricting just say, unfortunatly my knowledge of modeling is very lacking so im learning this as I talk to the modelers.
Thanks again man !

christ man, thats terrible !...seriously is that the best it got ?...its meant to hold steady around 60 but near the start of the level it will aways lag as =certain routine attack the framerate !.

But yeah hopefully the optimising will make yours playable !
sorry about that !

OK I tried it out. My fave weapon had to be the flamethrower!!! I love it! I like stomping the blocks, tis fun but once while I was doing it Jazz got stuck and the gun carried on going! This happened again when I was destroying the shootable blocks!

This is a public service announcement

Exams are impending folks …yep their coming in fast, and knowing me there’s no way I can tear myself from this project for more than a day. SO…all of the files of jazz have currently been removed from my computer by me and put on DVD and stored for later…also I have crippled DBP so I cant code anything else in this time either.
Little over the top… yes but I’m a resourceful bugger and I need to revise; hence there will be no code updates for 2-3 weeks. But when I get back there is no college just training for my gap year, so I can get more work done…don’t worry the deadline will be met.

I will still be on the forums and dealing with various bits and bobs but no coding for me.

Just thought I better let you know !

I understand Baggers wants to do well in his classes, but deleting everything and sabotaging darkbasic?

It'd be alot easier just to show alittle discipline and NOT go on your computer!

Then those weren't exams, you're probably thinking of tests, which are not exams. Exams are the climax of one or more years of work, a test usually sums up a week or month of classwork.

Exams are important especially at Higher or Advanced Higher level which I think Baggers is at in school - it's actually very impressive how responsible he is being, and I don't think he's going OTT at all.

GCSE's are v.hard at the time, but not much compared to what follows if you choose higher education.

School in general isnt too hard if you enjoy learning.. but problems do appear when you feel you arent learning anything new.. and just showing up for nothing. As for higher education.. well most of the time this subjects something of your interest.. and learning should then go with ease.

Baggers is a bright lad, he'll get top grades, no problem.

Same here. I really hate Maths. I'll be getting my Maths SATs results back soon. I badly mucked them up . Everyone on this forum seems to be very clever. Makes me feel rather stupid.

@ David R.

I passed Higher Maths and got an A. It is hard though, no doubt.

2 MORE GCSE'S yey, then free time.

Yeah secondary school does take a lot out of ya. Work, teachers, students, mainly students, because you put up with all the a** wipes which are usually Chavs, man there are so many people I wanna hurt there but never had the opportunity....What I've learnt is I should've hung around with John or Nick not Rob

Hey people, one big-ass'ed post for ye all !

All: Thanks for keeping posting, its amazing to still come online and see like 4 emails to do with jazz even when i havnt been doing anything to it!...gives me great hopes for when it's done !

David R: Maths, IT, English Language...all A-Levels...its damn hard but i'll get through ok. Wish i was one of those people who understood the stuff the first time round !

SaberDude: hehe, looks good man! ...hmm i may have to add a skins option to the updater then.

Seppuku: Damn pikies, i know what you mean. I have only got 2 of them angry in the last week though so thats fine. One of them is lucky I thought a door was push rather than pull though, he ran away fast enough !

Megaton: Yeah that was sarcasm. Sorry bout that was a little criptic in text. Yeah im pants at disiplining myself, I'll have to get better at it fast in Uganda though.

Drew: Thanks man, i feel more confident already !

Saberdude: Maths is a proverbial b**ch , but it's so crucial to programming that its worth trying to do well in though. I know the feeling somtime though, im doing various types of integration (which probably wont mean anything to you) and its a real pain.
Good luck with your maths though !

Jonny Ree: "Baggers is a bright lad, he'll get top grades, no problem"
hehe I wish, but i'll give it my best.

Sspike: I love the rat man, cant wait for the textured version...well actualy maybe till the end of the exams...i'll go crazy wanting to code again otherwise !

young programmer: Sats definately count man, everything is hard till you understand it so yeah Sats can be hard! Your lucky you seem to have an afinity to learning though if you can get 98% without trying, I envy you !

Andrew: Sorry man, I hope you didnt burn anything !

Ok people, seeya in a while, i'll probably post some time next week.
The only other thing ive done jazz related is to email one of the team from the original jazz game to check he approves with this project....i so hope he does !...i'll keep you posted with the results !

@Baggers, I would attack the a**holes in my school, but its against my nature, would do if I had the chance, and i could kick their a**es if they started on me, just never had it in me to take it out on them, now its too late, can't beat em up outside the exam hall lol. Update button looks nice, I'd better download all the stuff then and see how good this really is

Simple... yet fun!
