I don't think TGC work on the weekend, so it might not be until Monday.

well, i suppose the legal issues take time, but all the real fixes are made and ready for install, and they/I may have to get some different sounds, because i mixed a couple generic free sounds found on the net, and they want ABSOLUTE royalty free confirmation, so if worst comes to worst, i might buy some sounds from somewhere like soundrangers.com, but thats hardly a sacrifice anyway, they are pretty cheap, i should have done that in the first place anyway

by the way, its no longer CorePak 2, rather, Model Pack 5

they said Rich is off ill so the site update will be early next week, hopefully the sound issue would have been resolved by then, but everything else is fine.

Ive also received the contract and reading through it thoroughly before signing and sending off tomorrow, despite it being Saturday

That's pretty early and good, considering that until now TGC has only released new model packs when the newletter came out.

no worries, your probably better off with this delay anyway, TGC was kind enough to make alot of fixes and cover ups in areas where you would need to do things manually before hand.

Just curious jon, but whats the reason for handing it over to TGC? i mean, dont they get a percentage, actually lowering your $$ intake?

Cool, I was wondering about that...how the heck do you get authentic sounds for these guns without copyright issues? Short of firing the real thing and recording it yourself(out of the question), or doing some creative foley work.

He'll get far more exposure on a TGC product page, then he ever would get in the forums.

More exposure, less pay.

Iam hoping to win this pack in the level design contest, so Iam hoping my level will bea winner this time, because the weapons are great.

Not neccessarily less pay if you look at the volume he'll be selling in; it could be substantially more, especially since it's endorsed by TGC now.

Hmmm, jon, why dont you speak to TGC about selling the pack under another licence, so that more people can buy it and not just FPSC users? Because some of the DB users may like to use these, that way you get the fpsc buyers, with the fpsc licence, and the DB buyers with the licence to use them in other programs, not just fpsc.

You might earn more like that, if TGC would allow it and if you wanted to do that.

im not interested in making more money than actually needed/expected, before it was just a case that people wanted me to allow it, and it was as simple as saying yes.

ive signed the contract anyway, i believe there was numerous statements saying that TGC could exploit the product in any deal, or in any marketing scheme. so it could be possible, their choice

lol no, they just have the rights to distribute it in any fashion, but in any event i still receive my royalties and dont need to do any continued work, unless i wanted to, or any bug fixes, etc.

How come TGC sell every model pack they release at £11? Is that their lucky number, or some kind of marketing sceme?

not sure, might have something to do with the USD excahnge rates, so they are trying to do some "keep the low price for UK, a low price for US aswell" scenario

god bless our superior currency
