I wouldn't say they're stupid, Apple is a company I know I can rely on, hence I have an iPod - I know my product will last if I buy from them and that I'd get good customer service and most problems an iPod can have are noted on their website, plus my family has had a good Apple experience overall. Yeah I'd pay more, but it's peace of mind. I've got a first generation iPod shuffle and a first generation iPod mini - other people that I know that have 'cheaper' Mp3s have had to replace it, whereas my work almost as well as they day I bought it (Had a couple of software problems due to misuse and the Mini's battery power isn't as long as it used to be - still keeps a good 5 hours or more on it) but still in pretty good nick. So I've got my value for money.

I don't know many other rhythm games, if they had decent music I'd probably play them, but then we have Guitar Hero 3 so what would the point be? As for the controller, well there's nothing wrong with it, plays with your imagination a bit more.

Is it really worth £60+ though? I think not.
The controller's not that complex. It's a rewired Classic Controller (try it with GlovePIE if you don't believe me) in a big box. The game itself isn't exactly massive, either. 70 songs, yeah, but they're still in mono on my version and I haven't a replacement as of yet.


Since the other one was scaring you guys so much...

Hence you don't own one. I however do think it's worth the price, but the new iPod touch I don't think is worth it though, yeah it's a cool gadget but not one I'm willing to pay more for when I'm probably not going to use its 'extra' features. Heck no other mp3 is worth the price at moment, or at least whilst my Mini is working.

If there was a better alternative for a rhythm game that plays decent music for the Wii then we would have got it. Part of it is playing the tracks you like or tracks that challenge you. As for the controller, does it matter? The way it's set out is good for the game, so whether or not it's complex doesn't matter as it does what it's supposed to.

It's fine - but pricey. Which is why I compared it to an iPod. And iPods are flimsy. You have no idea how many people I know with Nanos with broken screens, or that won't turn on at all. It's all flash and no substance. And besides, who cares about the brand label when the thing's in your pocket for at least 99% of the time?

That's my 8 year old brother's MP3 player. He's had it over a year. He's nearly always using it. It's not broken.

Cool, I probably would never buy a nano, it is a bit delicate, it's nice and slick, but I like my durable shuffle and mini, hence my shuffle survived being thrown across the room when I got excited during a game of pool. And my Mini has been dropped a few times.

As for that MP3 player, never seen it before, I might have picked it up at one point - but now as all my music is in the iPod format, I'm sticking to my handy iPods.

The only reason I bought one of those new 8GB solid state iPod nanos is because it was on sale for a price that matched the competitors MP3 players of equal value. And I love the swirl pad or whatever you call it

I really hate any touch controls, even the up/down ones on the Creative Zen.

My friend had a first gen iPod where the touch thing broke and would actually spin around, that was AMAZING. As in, your thumb stayed on the same bit of plastic and the whole ring moved round.

Touchpads on laptops make me cry

When you have a stylus it's OK...

I agree. I once picked up my Father's HP and knocked the stupidly placed and stupidly thought out touch sensitive buttons, muting the sound, opening two Internet Exploder windows and starting a DVD. Phones should not have them either. Every time I put down and then pick up a J600 (with the confounded things) or try and show someone in front what's on the screen with the phone, I knock the touch sensitive "close" button and cancel everything.

Idiots.
