AI,
I must say that you have me pretty much convinced that some dude didn't just make up ADD.
Honestly, I'm not flaming you here. I'm giving you advice, so listen up:
It's okay for a developer to have his own personal folder of "Didn't quite make it past the starting line" games and game ideas. Everyone has them, actually. But, here's the catch, and this part's rather important: the ones that developers choose to show off are ones that have already had LOTS of work put into them. By "LOTS", I mean, you have the story idea down, a few levels to show off (at least for an FPSC game), some core mechanics of how the game works, as well as some things in your game to show that it's DIFFERENT from other games.
The only time it's okay to tell people "Hey, I'm gonna work on this idea I have. This is what I've got so far..." and then tell them about the little amount of work you've done, is when you're chatting online with your friends. Boards such as this one are designed for WIP or Finished Games. In the actual WIP board (designed for games made in practically everything), they even have a sticky titled "How to know if your game is ready for WIP", or something like that. I suggest you read it, because it will most likely apply here as well.
With all of that said, look past the sarcasm and spastic muttering of the crowd you've gathered and listen to what they have to say. As harsh as they may sound, it's true, we WANT to see you get some progress on this. Even if you make only a SINGLE level for this game, I think I'd be happy, so long as that level showed us that you honestly worked on it.
Give up on this project if you must, but before you do, give us something to look at in this thread other than an empty room. (Yes, they are empty rooms... regardless of having entities, there's nothing going on worth mentioning) A real level would be nice!
The one and only,
~PlystirE~
