Yes that is frame rate with collision.
The pics seem a bit dark but they weren't that dark when I was playing. I'll try and get a demo up so you can vote to make them lighter or not.

I could see the pics perfectly with my Viewsonc Ultrabrite....

It'll probably appear brighter if you give the sky a color, even if it's just gray or dark green or dark blue or whatever.

Sorry I haven't replied for a while but I've been really busy because my band had a gig and we've been rehearsing and then actually playing it!
Back to work now though.

I'm working on some more music for ROT as well so I may include some in the next demo, whenever I'll finally make one!
I'm trying to upload the start of the menu at the moment so if it works I'll edit and upload a hyperlink.

I'm thinking multi-player racing game. The plan is that the camera will follow the track and the players must keep up and if they go off the screen they are out. I'm also planning to build in some cartoony weapons and stuff.

Captain Colorblind - Thanks. Baldurs Gate is brilliant.
Mrnaughty - Yes it is the game for my sister but if someone can host it for me I'll release it for free here. I'm really quite pleased with it. I'll edit this post in a second with some screens.
What it does basically so far is you can drive around and perform stunts as well as picking up gems. You can also pick up mines to drop behind you as you go. There are some snowmen on sledges chasing you so you have to blow them up with the mines. If you misland a stunt or hit a mine or the snowmen hit you then you blow up and waste time. I'm planning to make a menu with a choice of car, map and time limit. I will then make a high score table. The only other thing I really need to fix in game, that I can see, is blowing up when you go in the water. Easy you might say but the water rotates so I can't simply use a y value. I'll figure it out soon enough using trigonometry. I might also add a mileometer. As you will see from the screens I also have working shadows. The game runs at a constant 100fps on my machine; AMD AthlonXP 2400+, 256Mb RAM, Radeon 9600.
Here are the screens:
About to pic up a gem
http://img2.uploadimages.net/798364screen1.PNG
Messing up a stunt
http://img2.uploadimages.net/836013screen2.PNG
About to pickup a mine
http://img2.uploadimages.net/574939screen3.PNG
Dropping a mine
http://img2.uploadimages.net/659038screen4.PNG
A full collection of mines, those snowmen are going to get it!
http://img2.uploadimages.net/390448screen5.PNG
Half way through one of the stunts
http://img2.uploadimages.net/525047screen6.PNG
A render of the snowman
http://img2.uploadimages.net/905523screen7.PNG
A render of one of the cars
http://img2.uploadimages.net/286243screen8.PNG
Another car
http://img2.uploadimages.net/783414screen9.PNG
If anyone is happy to host it for me then please let me know and I'll e-mail it to you so you can host it.
Oh, and by the way, my sister is going to be 9 so this game isn't supposed to be too hard.
[Edit]
I forgot to mention what the symbols mean.
The clock is the time,
Score is the total score,
The gem is the number of gems collected,
The tyre is the number of stunts,
The snowman is the number of snowmen killed,
The explosion is the number of times you have blown up,
The mines are the number of mines collected.
Scoring works like this:
Trick 1 - 360 points
Trick 2 - 580 points
Collecting a gem - 150 points
Collecting a mine - 50 points
Blowing up a snowman - 200 points
Controls (keyboard/game pad):
Arrows/D-Pad to move
Ctrl/A to do trick 1
Shift/B to do trick 2
Enter/D to drop a mine

DBSpot is back? Oh! I signed up for it just as it shut down! I'll try that. Thanks for the comments. Using O=tan(WaterAngle)*A I've got water collision done. Not much left to do so I'll be able to concentrate solely on Tutopia. Only problem is that I have a 5 day family holiday starting tomorrow so I guess I'll just have to do some design work done and then do some coding when I get back. I just had a really cool idea for a level so when I get back I'll make it even if it isn't the first level!

I've finally got the camera fixed and I'm almost happy with movement so I'll be able to upload a demo where you can walk around a level and use attacks soon. There won't be enemies yet though. I'll hopefully get it up by friday.

Right. I'm completely happy with movement. I need to get some more player animations done and then you will be able to fully control him. If only the media and animation were decent then this would be really quite good!

Hi again!
I'm really sorry. I had an unexpected gig with my band as well as having to get my graphics coursework in. In case anyone cares the gig was pretty cool. The band played great and our set list was: Turning Japanese, Hollow (one of my songs), Monster Mash and No One Knows. The funniest thing was that there was a Japanese dudde in the audience! He wasn't too impressed!
Oh well. Back to work. I've got some new animations which I am happier with so...no I won't say it! Every time I say I'll get a demo up soon something else crops up! I can but try!
Is anyone still looking at this thread? I know there hasn't been alot of news lately but I want to know.
