How about the nicest looking screensaver, using no external media That could produce some interesting results and it would be a good challenge.

Wouldn't a tutorial in Wings3D or milkshape be a better idea? Given the affordability issues with 3dsmax I'm almost tempted to do a Wings3D tutorial I honestly think Wings3D is a brilliant modeller, you just need to stick with it for the first few clunky hours. I mean, look what I've managed to acheive ... oh wait.

However, you may come across my sister (not so lucky) and my brother (complete disaster).

I think you'll find the age difference is a bit too much...

The timetable is up - I'll be modifying it soon to take into account Philip's ideas and whatnot.

At the last one did anyone actually turn up who was under 20 years old?

(serious question, not trying to be funny)

Just had a lookie-loo over your schedule and noticed dinner at 12pm. Is that normal?

I *REALLY* want to go. Have you ever had someone come from so far away?

If luck was to show himself to me, and I was able to go at the last minute, would I still be able to get in? Or is there a deadline to say "Aye".

Do you mean "Is it normal to have dinner" ? or do you mean "is it normal to have it at midday" ?

We are hoping that someone from one of the Scandinavian will come - with would be a first.

At least its good to see I have provoked some discussion, some good ideas, and some new talks. We should have a PACKED schedule this year.

Oh, and to answer the question above, I'm afraid there are some < 20 year olds at the Con. Can't be avoided I'm afraid. But thats not really the problem. The real problem is the absence of blonde models (not that IanM worries about this - he's got Bouncy's sister in his sights).

Me and Giff have been discovering the possibility of shooting as much of the convention on digital vidcams of some description. To capture most of the action we would require more than one person filming, is there any volunteers to help shoot the "con-dumentary" and then put it up for download on the internet afterwards. Would encourage more visitiors to the next convention that happens.

Why would we want to do this though? I actually think this is a REALLY bad idea. It'll mean a lot of people won't bother turning up - why should they when they can get the benefit of the Con without having to make the effort to turn up, pay Bouncy the £41, etc. etc.?

I certainly don't want my talk being video'd. No thanks. Too much risk of me being sued for defamation.

Im sure we can come up with some kind of idea, I just wanted to make a video which would encourage more people to turn up, as well as making a fond souvenier .

He's just afraid of being caught on saturday night pissed as a newt believing he can become invisible by stripping.

Pictures seem to be taken each year, you were there last year.. don't think anyone got a mug shot though. Conventions are always cool through pictures. The ones in the States I've been to have just been so bloody big that most of the time pictures are just of random groups of people, but it's cool when you have enough people to go - "look it's him!"

I *am* worried. From bouncy's reaction, I think I need to get my sights adjusted. I guess that I just have to hope that no-one points me out when I'm p*ssed and dancin' like a fool

I presume most people are planning to arrive at the ship hotel on the Friday evening (11th November). I am doing

Meet up in the hotel bar (Its possible I might arrive in the afternoon or early evening) and get smashed .

Everybody should arrive on Friday and if possible stay until Monday, but this isnt possible in all cases.

Still, what do YOU plan to do?

Indeed.

Drinking activities are fun.

In the possibility that you are staying on the Sunday night, would it be possible to get a lift again?

Im looking into the possibility of getting a lift all the way from Manchester for those dates, but I would also settle for Coventry :-P

Latest news ... Remember that the first convention dates were moved because I was needed at work? Well, guess what? Yep, you got it.

I'm still planning on coming to the convention, but I may have to leave fairly early on Sunday ... more updates later as they get sprung on me
