This is the best scifi FPS game ever made. Looks better than Dead Space.

Now THAT'S a compliment! And thanks for reminding me about DS, need to install it again...

It was indeed a very nice compliment, but Dead Space isn't an FPS...

Anyhow, I really like the looks of this! I tried the demo just yesterday and was very impressed with it, and judging from the improvements you've made to it now, it might just become the best and most immersive FPSC game to date. Great work!

If you need another male voice actor, let me know. I've been wanting to give acting a try for a while now, and being part of this project would be awesome.

@dark peanut,

Thanks for the compliment. I've been working hard on using all I can use from FPSC to try and make Alpha Project the best I can. =]

@KeithC,

I've been making use of custom segments more

@bass guy1669,

I'm glad that I've wow'd you.

@SekoIdiootti,

Sure? Dead Space is a really good game graphical wise! I try my best though!

@Metal Devil123,

Yeah, I still think I need to work more to get it higher than those graphics

@Roger Wilco,

I dont actually recruit voice actors off TGC forums sadly. This is because people on here claim they are a voice actor when in fact they just own a PC mic and think they can. It frankly annoys me when people say 'Hey I'm a voice actor!' when they've had no experience in the field at all. I've had 3-4 years experience and I know what I'm doing with voice acting, so thats why I never recruit people from here. But hey, if you're serious about it then drop me an email and I'll see what you're capable of.

I see what you mean, Lewis. I'm not claiming I'm a voice actor (like you said some people on the boards do, we've all seen them), definitely not, it takes a bit of experience to justify calling oneself an actor, and all I've acted for have been a few projects in school.
Since you're experienced with it, you could evaluate my ability and see if you think I'm good enough. I'll send you an e-mail and we can discuss it further.

Lewis, all I have to say is that this is an amazing game, and I wish voice acting was as easy as you made it! Love it. This shows that people can go past stock media, make something of their own and show what Fps Creator really can do. Really innovative! Lots of your ideas have inspired me to try and make more of my own huds
Kudos.
People would BUY this game. I suggest you sell it

@Hamburger,

Maybe I'll say how I did it once the game is released. Until then, It's exclusive to Alpha Project. I've worked hard in making them so thats why I'm not releasing anything I make.

Unbelievable. Over time your game progresses so drastically, not only level design but with unique ideas and such. Easily in my opinion will this be the best FPSC game created to date

Your originality is suburb.

My favourite thing is that you seem to be taking peoples comments into affect. From what I can see your level design is improved and I noticed those new textures.

Things are looking good so far Lewis, keep it up. Especially since it gives me something to look at in awe when I'm bored

@Metal Devil123,

Precisely.

@Cyclone,

Yeah. I like it when people tell me what's gone wrong in the game because then I can correct it to make it a better experience for everyone!

@Devastaor,

I haven't decided if I am releasing it for free or commercial yet. You'll have to see when I decide.

I emailed him and he already emailed me back saying "No sorry, I don't allow my work to be used anywhere except for projects I'm actively working on myself. Thanks for the interest though." Im not accusing you of anything I'm just trying to clarify things for myself so Im not so confused.

@Hamburger,

Well that's strange, because I havent recieved an email back from him yet. Besides, they were just a placeholder until I got confirmation from him/made my own.

This really looks great...I hope you release it for free (because I have no money) but if you do go commercial, you would do well, if I do say so myself.

No seriously, I loved opening it up, it looked so professional. And I love how you didn't overdo the motion blur. Perfect amount.

Lewis I really think you should try and get a publisher. This game has a lot of potential and seems very professional.

@Shadowtroid,

Well if by the end of it I have assets that I will be allowed to use commercially, then who knows! I will be making a new revamped demo though by the time the game comes out. It wouldnt be good to have a game nothing like the full version

@Hamburger,

That's fine. I dont think you sounded strange, although I was thinking you were jealous of my game or something..

@Toasty Fresh,

I'll look into it I wouldnt want a generic never heard of before publisher though, although getting people like EA or Activision to sell the game obviously isnt realistic.

Obviously but you'd probably make more than selling through Paypal

Perhaps you could even distribute it via Steam. After all, there are plenty of indie games available on there.

@Toasty Fresh,

Aye, I definatley would. If I cant set it up via a publisher, I could at least set up a store on heretic studios. =] Having DLC would be pretty good too, like a seperate survival mode from the main game, like Nazi zombies did for CoD5. You unintentionally gave me ideas! Thanks! xD

@Zay,

They look professional, but would they sell my game? Who knows.

@Roger Wilco,

I could do. I'll take a look into their terms of service to see what I can find.

I love the look of this game soooo much. I love the huds sooooo much - and that keycard system is fantastic. I downloaded the demo, sadly my low-end computer made playing unbearble, so I watched the youtube videos instead. Really, really amazing. This is something I would pay money for (if I had any! )

Keep up the amazing work!

Just played your demo (well most of it) and so far I enjoyed it. I personally think to level design in itself was bland, and the use of motion blur gave me a headache. But, the 2d work was simply outstanding. Extremely professional, great job.

I was shocked when I noticed the animated HUD, Menu, and PDA "selection". (Camera zoom, mouse, and hud appear) Are you using Project Blue? Forgive me for the stupid question.

Update:

Here is a screenshot of the latest segments used, using Bond1's shaders from the metro theatre pack. (Dont worry Hamburger, it's all paid for so you dont need to snoop around )

I'm redesigning the textures and segments so that they match. I have yet to add the ceiling segment so that is why the floor and ceiling look the same, but dont worry, this will be changed!
