@ Bloodeath: Thanks for the advice. The thing is, I don't know how to make round corners for the MP3 walls.
@ Slayer222: Right now, I'm taking all the help I can get. If anybody wants to assist me, kindly ask if you can and I'll see what you can do.
@ Jenkins: Whatever, man. It's your opinion, and I'm not forcing you to like Kola.

With an attitude like that I doubt you will get one either...unless you are already a member...

AI, I am thinking about helping you, if you would like, and if you would like, it could all be discussed on these forums.

get the texture from your fpsc directory, then get signs 2, 3, 4, one of those versions, pop the texture in signs tell it to make a rounded corner

@ AI:
I did a level a while ago and uploaded it, so you can play it. If you want something more recent, I'm fine with that, I could upload something else. I have packs 1-6 +10 BTW. Also,
I can make low-low medium quality custom media and textures. I am getting better though.

So, that's about it, like I said, if you want some more recent work of mine just ask.

Thanks for the information, puppy.

A big update for Kola has arrived. Since I am still waiting on a level story for level 1 which is set in a shipping warehouse, I have decided to work on a story for the game. Here is the story, told through e-mails (they are all fake, by the way. Don't even try to e-mail vmarbourough@bctc.gov as he is not real. Just a word of caution to all idiotic maniacs.)

To: Richard Kamrey {rkamrey@bctc.gov}
From: Vincent Marbourough {vmarbourough@bctc.gov}
Subject: Echelon terrorism
I heard on Channel 3 that a new terrorist cell, Echelon, has arised in the Kola Peninsula sometime last week. The Russians are working with al-Qaeda for arms and nukes in exchange for money. Reply soon, I need an opinion on this.

To: Vincent Marbourough {vmarbourough@bctc.gov}
From: Richard Kamrey
Subject: Re: Echelon terrorism
Vinnie,
I told the Joint Chiefs of Staff about this. A satellite is hovering over the peninsula and there seems to be a nuke being built in an old missile silo. They said that an infiltration operation has to be executed sometime this month or else the nuke will blow the Earth into World War III. What's going on?
-Rich

To: Richard Kamrey {rkamrey@bctc.gov}
From: Vincent Marbourough {vmarbourough@bctc.gov}
Subject: Re: Re: Echelon terrorism
Rich,
I've got an e-mail from the Joint Chiefs about this matter. They have said that the Bureau of Counter-Terrorism and Conflicts will be infiltrating various stations that Echelon activity may be present. They said that because of the nature of this operation, only a select few operatives will be going solo, and I'm one of them!! They said I was to infiltrate a shipping warehouse in the port city of Murmansk and destroy an ammunition cache there. Pray to God I get out in one piece, Rich. The operation's on 10/18/2008 at 0345 hours. Wish me luck, and tell the whole Bureau to light candles in my office as a prayer that I don't die. Godspeed to myself.

Vincent Marbourough (who has been with the Bureau for twenty years since he was 27) is to infiltrate the Valerisk Shipping Warehouse via a maintenance shaft which will take him to the cargo room. He then has to destroy the ammo cache and get aboard a submarine to complete the mission. Then the next mission will involve him aboard the Sergei Alekar and him trying to reach the main exit hatch for exfiltration.

I wouldn't let a video game climb a tree, and I'm too young to get married.

And I agree, a team could work well with Kola. Too bad team requests aren't allowed here...

I think you need a good glob of glue, naw more like a gallon, to hold your ideas and levels together. A team would be good for you. I volunteered, but whatever, I'm sure other's who fit your taste more will too.

Well, if you think that I am good enough(lol) to work on this project just say. If not, its cool, I know how to keep busy. And I too agree, if Kola had a full team it would be awesome...but you'd just have to get the story down...

@ puppy: If you have enough time in your schedule, you can model for Kola as you wish. Currently I need a plug outlet and a stack of wood. May model those in .x format and FPSC ready and post them here when they're done (as I'm not too keen on e-mailing strangers)?

5867Dude and Butt monkey got it right, and I'm not seeing any offsprings, since the mother isn't even done.

If people still care to have Kola finished, but AI's got writer's block syndrome, maybe volunteering MIGHT work since if you volunteer, you were'nt requested. Savvy?

(Stressing on the MIGHT though; disgrazia might happen.)

9 pages later, and "Level 1 is currently under development".

Either way, previous level design pictures have looked pretty good. If a demo is ever released, I'll be looking forward to playing it.

I'll do it but I have certain requirements:
*Your BEST screenie
*A third-person view of one of your characters (preferably shooting at something; side view)
*A screenie of some kind of havoc worthy to put on the cover.

Total of 3 times of pressing Print Screen and post it here in a ZIP file. (High quality looks good y'know.) I already have a layout in my mind.

Doesn't that only work with built games?

Also, level 1 is going to be a foundry; a type of warehouse that gets cargo and metals are smelted there in a giant furnace. This is basically a level inspired by the Nazran Foundry level in BLACK. Now if only we had a G36C with MP9/10 hands, then we'd be complete.

@ ASP: I'll get to it. Do I need to have those three screens, or do I need just one of them?

3. Not one of them.

Duotone of black and white for the cover is very dramatic. That's what I have in mind.

Hi guys, sorry for the delay. I recently got HL2 for my Xbox, and it is freakin' awesome!

Back to Kola; ASP, I have decided that I don't need a boxart for Kola, sorry if you were forward to making it. Developement will continue today, and I might release a screen or two today.

I love how you just drop people like they are tools available for you to use.

You should be thankful that people are WILLING to help with this project. You realise a team is the only possible way of finishing this game? Finishing it solo was impossible from the start.

And yet you wont even communicate via email... :/

Some days I just think of dropping Kola due to my complete laziness. Not sure why, but I know that I cannot quit it because of the forum's attitude towards me and game-making. Now that I'm playing HL2, I'm trying to fight the urge to not quit Kola to make a HL2-style game, but believe it or not, the urge to quit is winning. I'm just not into FPSC as I used to. What my true calling is, I don't know. I'll leave Kola hanging by a thread for now, but if anyone wants to cut the thread and make Kola their own game, feel free to do so. GAH!! I'm such an idiot! Go ahead, flame me. It ain't stoppin' me from making a new game if I want to. I'm sorry for this occuring, but this is just too big a job for me. I'm moving away from FPSC for a little while, but I'll drop in to see if anyone's opting to develope Kola on their own.
Hoping to move forward,

Who'd develop Kola? It's just a name, and in my opinion, not a great one either as it always makes me think of the bears Go ahead, make another game, we can't stop you. Heck you may even MAKE something although its doubtful. I want to cut the THREADS that you have made. Useless and a waste of peoples time. I'm going to boycott all of AI's "games" now and I hope others will join me.

Well...that was an exciting career as being part of a team...

And AI: Whenever I play a game I tend to want to make games more, heck I made an FPSC Ravenholm. Was it as good? Obviously not but I had used bits and pieces from the real one to inspire some parts of levels...

I think quitting Kola will only do us a favor. Then again it won't because the day after you quit you'll have released another screeny saying that you've started a game. But, then again, given that the rules have been changed on the showcase forums, maybe you won't be able to. So please, drop Kola. I'm sick of this thread being spammed not only by you but by me (lol). It's getting rather obnoxious.
