Now - I dont think so. Unless you've already coded it, feel free to submit it. I don't think theyll reject a kick-ass game just because it turns up late.

I am wondering if I can send in an updated version... Its amazing how far a project can come in 2 or 3 days, but I'd imagine I probably can't. If Rich can answer that, that would be great.

Hello,

My daughter has had to re-register here because she lost her email address and then forgot her password to this site.

She wanted me to post some of her screen shots because she says, “Theres tons of people doing stuff for the TYTT and not a lot of screens have been shown”.

So here they are.

She does not know if her game will be short listed as she sent it in late and it was not a fully complete demo, but shes hoping.

Cheers
Reaperman

PS: sorry for the poor quality, but I had to drop the colours/size down.

My guess is that if there were 40 entries at the weekend, there were 50 to 60 in total.

Wow, this is like waiting for an STD test - anxious and fearful and hopeful, but without any closure in sight. Good times...

I wish I'd taken the extra time with my entry. Two days would have made it 100x better. Instead, I was worried about some phantom 'deadline'

Time Runner looks awesome! I got a feeling that game is going to be short-listed! Well, the more screenshots I see, the more I feel like my game isn't going to be short-listed. If only I had a few more days...I could have made it so much better.

I doubt anyone has. I can bet over +50 games were submitted. Imagine how long it will take to test the games, then choose the 10 best of the best.

Anyway, I've calculated the chances of winning:

Hehe. I'm sure this isn't correct so don't let this get you down ^^. This is just a rough equation.

Getting an e-mail to say that what you know what happeneing anyway IS happening is totally psyche.

I'm actually physicly nervous now - whereas before I was simply 'anxious' - wonderful.

Well, I got my email, my entry was rejected:

Quote: "...The main reason for this are that we are dubious as to the
copyright nature of the Tetris brand, and as this game is for a
commercial title it is simply not a risk we could afford to take I'm
afraid. This is a shame because we had fun playing it,..."

So I'll be posting the game on the WIP board, good luck to the rest of you and congratulations to those who have already been short-listed.

Well I don't think I'll make it simply because I couldn't put enough time into it. I reckon I had a great idea, but I couldn't even come close to putting it in a finished stage, let alone polishing it. Mainly, because the past 3 weeks I've been filling in for my Assistant Store Manager (who's on holidays), which essentially equates to 30+ hours a week, in addition to Uni. However, he comes back from holidays this week so now that I do have time to work on the game, it's already over! Irony, ha!

Funny to see that this competition has grown & reached 50 submissions!
I just decided to send mine because I find the idea really funny...

As many peple said, there are not much screens of the game submitted. So, here one of my entry.

Good luck to everyone.
This will create some great new "WIP" & "GAME ANNOUNCEMENT" threads!! Some play times to come!!

Congratulations Hoopkid Ups! Hmm...I'm wonderfully nervous at the moment. I got this little voice in my head telling me my game is going to be short-listed...don't call it "counting your eggs before they hatch"; call it "Hope". I am in a way: FAXING NERVOUS!

Edit: Oops! Forgot to give the e-mail address for my entry! D'oh! I just sent an e-mail out to Rich now explaining where to e-mail. I may have to resend to prove its mine :/.

Bump... nothing! I haven't touched DBP in over a week. Word Runner is starting to grow mold. Here's a video... Fraps tore up the frame rate, it runs very smooth by itself.

Well be patient. I got a feeling Focus Multimedia are testing the games, not TGC. I think in this competition, TGC is just a connection bridge between participants and Focus.

The reverse was the problem (too many good games). The definite 100% 'no' have been emailed. The 100% 'yes' games have been emailed too. The remainder (14 or so) are still undecided so we're waiting on a few other people to test them first, one being the programmer of TYTT, the other being Rick. They've got 4 games to select. I have Ricks decisions, but not those from Kes yet.

And no, we don't work weekends.

My personal feeling is that TGC have a great deal of respect over at Focus Towers, and if TGC said "We're making a program that prints Hello World", Focus would publish it.

I realise that there are choices to be made and choices take time, but unless the deadline for completed products is changed from the end of March, I think that the choice needs to be made very soon.

I know of at least two people (there may be more) that are not working on the TYTT project until told that it will be incuded. So the longer it goes without a decision the closer that deadline becomes and the more likely it will be that not all games will be ready by on time.

Just my thoughts.

This is just a suggestion.

Instead of TGC just dumping the other 10 games after picking the winning 4, why not allow the other 10 (as they are obviously good games) to be completed so that they can be bundled as an “add-on” to the TYTT package?

After all, they could form a “bonus” game package that the end user can pay for on-line and could then either be sent out a cd with them on, or perhaps sent a download link to get the new games.

It seems a shame to waste those other 10 games.

My Daughter is one of those 14 still waiting to here a yes/no, and while £300 would be nice for her, she really wants her game to be published more than the money. So again, perhaps the 10 games could be bought for a reduced amount, say, £150, from the authors.

Just an idea.

Cheers
