CTM: your right, but that's on me though. I've only got 2 fingers that I can use on my left hand, so I set my stuff up for one handed play with my right.
So instead of using the standard W,A,S,D keys for movement, I use the arrow keys on the right side of my keyboard.
Thats, not all she does. There are a total of six different displays on the destination screen. Six on the activation screen.
It's hard to see from the room setup I used, but once the destination is set, then confirmed, (you can scroll back if tou made a selection by mistake), The Power rods open they're shutters, and animate. The 2 large units on the arms swing in on either side of the pad and animate, and the animated transport beam appears.
The chosen destination also appears on the activation screen. Also if you try to use the teleporter without setting your destination first, you'll get a nasty little shock.
Truly, a scripting masterpiece. Conjured has outdone himself! It really is amazing.
I'll upload a new video (better quality) to show the whole process from a different POV so you can see it all.
What I admire most is the ability, not only to choose your destination by simply placing the reciever pads anywhere you want,(inside a hidden weapons cache, or store room), but by simply renaming any model as a pad, you can transport onto other objects.
The big alien structure in the video was set as "pad4". So I was able to beam right on top of it.
And the setup is ubelievably simple. Just place your entities, and name your pads. "That it, your done"!
In the final release there will be a second moniter, with a blank screen that you can use as a "key" for pad locations. You can custimize it to suit your needs by editing the texture.

"Pad 1- 2nd floor Hallway"
"Pad 2- Storage Room"
"Pad 3- Engineering"
"pad 4- Transporter Room 2"
The "free TrueType Font" will also be included so your screens will match up.

If you have any cool ideas for this project, but need models to realize your creation. Drop me a line. I'll provide all the models you need to make it work.
One idea I've been playing around with is an Airlock/ Decontamination chamber. Again, a fully interactive, or even automatic system to simulate a working airlock. Complete with animated switches,cycling doors, spawning atmosphere(steam), and dynamic lighting, etc.
So, if you would like to get your hands on some
free models for your projects, give me a shout while this community project is still going.
Note to all: As Stated, this is a
"Community Mega Pack", so no definite release date has been set. I wont release this untill there is enough content to justify it's Mega Pack status.
