Due to persistent (and heart-warming) begging by Mnemonix, I have decided to do another of my world-famous Conventions

Woohoo, I hear you cry, and indeeed, it is a feat worth celebrating. It will be held, as usual, in ye olde towne of Chichester. And for all those moaning about it, you are certainly welcome to setup a convention whereever you want it...

It will be held on November 12 & 13 - Saturday & Sunday (which allows everyone extra time to save enough money to come along).

See http://www.nicholaskingsley.co.uk/html/convention.html for more details.

May I suggest a more fanciful name? Maybe something more similar to, "The Unofficial DB Super Con", y'know, just something to spice up the convention a bit.

Hampshire i think. About 30 miles-ish from Portsmouth isn't it? (or is that Winchester? )

I'd love to try and make it for once. I didn't realise where Chichester was, I could drop the missus off at some friends in Portsmouth, free ticket out and brownie points to boot!

I have to say though, it would be good if TGC could arrange something closer to home, as an addition, not instead of.

Its coz I had so much fun at the last one.

Chichester is in West Sussex.

Anyway I will be there, as will hopefully most of the British DBP community.

Completely the wrong direction - someone needs geography lessons, me thinks...
For those with no sense of direction, I include a map. I'll let you find Chichester...

A somewhat better map can be found here http://encarta.msn.com/map_701517581/West_Sussex.html

In a provisional and non-binding basis I confirm that I'll attend. I will also deliver one of my famously eccentric and off-beat talks.

The subject of the talk this year will be another practical, legal, topic relevant to people aiming to write a great game then become a millionnaire from it. Unless anyone has a better idea, the topic is likely to be a DIY guide on how to set up and run an English limited company (Ltd not Plc) and the duties and liabilities that are connected with this.

If it is finished, or at least in a presentable state, I may also deliver a talk on Entropy v1.0, being my space game.

TCA, want to have a word with Mike and Lee and Ravey and see if they will attend? I'd be great if Rich can be persuaded to attend as well. I want to see if he is as sarcastic in personam as he is in writing.

Is that a bit too complex for the level that most people are aiming for here? I don't mean that in an offensive way, just that most people are probably working towards sole trader or partnership still.

I have a limited company, and a commercial project pending, but I have no plans to combine the two unless it leads to bigger things. I would, however, be interested to know what the score is with selling it via my (sorry, our!) partnership based business. It's within people's grasp, so likely to be more interesting. Well, if you can make self assesment forms interesting

Just my twopenneth.

Barring any unforseen circumstances I will definately be attending this year.

I soooo wanted to be at the last two but living in Cyprus made it a little tricky. Now that I am back in Blighty I should have no problem.

And of course, my winnings from 'Who wants to be a millionaire' will pay for a laptop that I can bring along

Due to mounting pressure from Mnemonix (Mr. Motivatah!), I regret to announce that I too will be attending the convention this year.

November is plenty of time to get things organised, so I shall be practicing my Kung-Fu and anti-arrest skills until then.

Now, I require a list of persons who cant/wont/dont have a computer to bring, from which I can calculate a final cost per person (excluding travel expenses, lodgings etc).

As for the website tca, I can setup a form which people who want to come can fill in, and they can be emailed to you? Is that acceptable?
