Not sure if this counts, but I got a new computer. And a new sound system to go with it!

Whole setup:

Screen and satellite closeup

Subwoofer closeup (first time I ever had one)

This, plus my new sound card, is really awesome.

Edit: HOLY CRAP those pictures are huge. Now in link form.

Tool. It's totally a great band, and has the best musicvideos ever. Like EVER! For real. Yeah, it's an awesome band. The songs are pure genious, and so are the subjects. And teh music videos are great. You always spot something new every time you watch.

And another great band is Dope. This is just straight up badass band. Nothing more nothing less. Every song gives you the feeling, that you want to mosh the hell out, and maby, just maby! Break some stuff. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FWCoXWuWzzk just listen that, and don't tell me you don't want to rock out.

Korn is band I con't discribe. It's great and has songs from pure kickassiness, to slower songs, and the ones that creep you out. Couldn't provide an example, 'cause don't know what I could give you. Too much songs.

And Lordi is propably my favourite. I have been a Lordi fan for many years, can't remember since when, and just love the band, and can't wait for their next album, wich (if I remember right) should coem in the year of our lord 2010.

I also listen to alot of soundtracks. From games and movies. Shadow of the Colossus in my opinion has the best game soundtrack. And I love soundtracks from movies such as Lord of the Rings and Peter Jackson's King Kong, wich had an epic soundtrack, and you can't dislike Halloween's or Exorcist's soundtracks. But this song I especially like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1IfFWBASb7I I know it's alot different than what I normally listen, but still... I like it.

...Okay... That last song may have a picture of Carrie but does that fool me?

Any way, Weird Al is funny. Not just his music, but I like how some love him and some hate him, so he's a walking flame war.

Tool just played here a couple weeks ago. Played quite a few songs off of Undertow and Ænima.

SNOT has always been my Rock out band.

I always liked the first couple Deftone Albums, too. Engine No 9 & 7 words are good.

In my oppinion Humor is not a genre. Its simple a theme, it can be any genre.

Im a big fan of metal, mainly smaller genres, im not too keen on all the main stream stuff. Though by far my favorite genres are(it'll change soon) Progressive Death and Melodeath, though proper Melodeath, think In Flames's colony album, none their new crap, or Dark Tranquilities Damage Done. Though anything smyphonic is win

Well, Weird Al is good. Not so big of a fan, but he's really good at what he does. I'm still more of a Metal Man than a Humor Music man.

I really don't know what genre TOOL (TOOL is supposed to be written all capitalized or like "||" [[]] [[]] ||_ heh) is, but I love it. And if I like some music from some genre, doesen't mean I automatically like all that genre. I like SoDoM, but there is alot of thrash metal that I dislike. And I like Nu Metal the KoЯn way. And I think Lordi is the best Hard Rock. And I was never too keen to Black, Death or Doom Metal. I like when you can make sense from what they are saying :-P

I can agree to that, for you can have all sorts of music be humorous, so it's more of a sub category for each genre. But still, Weird Al is one of my favorites.

System of a Down's first Album was awesome. The other's were okay. I haven't really listened to much of his solo stuff, though, so I can't say much about it. I know that I didn't like Tom Marello's stuff after Rage, though.

lol, nice! :-P You went to watch TOOL when they played there, or? People say they have the best live shows ever. Before they played "Prison Sex", Myanard asked; "Anyone here under 21?" and then alot people raised their hands and Myanard said; "You were all sperm when we made this song!" Lol'd when I heard that.
I went to watch KoRn last summer. Before they played "Y'all Want a Single" Jonathan Davis said; "Everyone rise your [censoring] middlefinger!" And we all did ofcourse. That was an awesome day. First me and my bro went to the movie theater to watch Transformers 2, grabbed a burger after that, went to see KoRn, and grabbed another burger after that. Could it get any better? Well, yeah, but it was still awesome!

Maynard asked the same thing here in St Louis before "Prison Sex". I also saw them in Memphis for the Lateralus tour. They played a couple tunes from Opiate at that one, but only one this time. Although they did play a bunch of Undertow(which was my first real TOOL experience. I think they started the show off with Flood, then followed up with Stinkfist, but everything was more or less a blur once I got there.

For the Lateralus show, they even had the crazy naked people from the Schism video on stage when they performed it. This time was mostly just lasers and light shows.

My first show was actually Primus/Limp Bizkit/Powerman 5000 back in 1997 when Primus was touring for the Brown Album. I saw KoЯn shortly after that and that's the only time I ever saw them.

Not to start a flame war, but does anyone know of the YouTube user, Fred? High pitched voice? He made two songs, both for Christmas, but I won't post them for showing them would make the situation worse. I have started a flame war, so I'm trying to tread as lightly as possible on this subject.

Yeah, I know them. Children of Bodom are more Powermetal, Heavy metal, Speed or Melodic Death and he doesn't always sing that unclear to me.
As for Kalmah, yeah you're right, it's hard to understand what he's singing. But the music is quite good, hey?

Blackmetal . Maybe not. But good example of finnish blackmetal stuff is Impaled Nazarene, or Horna. I dont know. Not much into blackmetal.

If i listen some sort of music, it must be something that has nothing to do with any "one single" genre. Basically, i listen everything.

SoDoM - The Saw is the Law
Poets of the Fall - War (I know... decided to be a dumbass and put my own video there
Serj Tankian - Feed Us
LoRDi - Deadache

lol the oh-so-common metal subgenre debate.... Mad Nightmare is right you don't wanna go there. It sounds like something metal, therefore it is.... classifying it moreso always ends in disaster

On a personal note, I can't stand A7X, Metalcore, nu Metal, Most Death and Black Metal....anything like that, though these subgenres are the ones which seem to get more and more popular

For the beginning, were the arpeggios done in FL Studios, or did you play them on an acoustic guitar? They sounded kind of like a midi. After that I just rocked out, I can't wait for when you have your full album, make sure to keep us up to date on that.

Kickass as usual, Slayer.

Life has been very tough for me lately, so I haven't had much time to play my guitar. It might get a little better for a while in a few weeks, so maybe I'll actually be able to record something in that time.

I could join, I don't really do anything but I've been told (by professionals) I'm a pretty good singer, but at my age I don't exactly have the voice for a metal band. I could manage, or something like that.

Aha, that sounds better!
No really, it must be awesome to hear professionals say that about your voice, right?
Did you follow some singing lessons too, or are you plannning on following?

Quote: "at my age I don't exactly have the voice for a metal band"

I don't think age is that important for a metalband. All the great metalbands (like Slayer, Metallica, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, etc...) started out pretty young. You can hear them grow older while listening to the voice of their albums in sequence.

Well, maybe you could do the singing part and Mad Nightmare could do the grunting and/or screaming?

Well, my bass has served me well, so I gave something back and it didn't take long to whipe alot of rust off and even learn something new (Tool - Prison sex... ALMOST!). And even some day, my bass will help me whack those zombies, but that wont come until 10-20 years. Or possibly 2012. ANYHOW! I present you my bass with me:

Here it is next to the amplifier and all that crap:

Here is my bass alone, leaning to the wall:

And here is my bass next to Led Zeppelin:

An here is my... well, more of my 2 sisters' acoustic:

After a while, I came to the conclusion, that Acoustic wasn't my thing and found the magic thing called: BASS GUITAR!!!! Thank you Ibanez.
