any thoughts on the latest maiden? a departure from the standard which, to me, is still a good thing:
i've not read up on the 'why' but i'd venture a guess that harris was finally convinced to broaden maiden's horizons (with, perhaps, more than a little nudging from bruce).

i do believe blackie's story had to travel here. as in, all prior w.a.s.p., in all it's (80's-fed) debauchery, internal struggle and strife, had to lead to some sort of 'redemption' to complete the story. it's still w.a.s.p., definitely lawless, and
still not black enough!
evolution is not always a good thing, i'll admit, but both albums here are true to form. both ensure that i'll continue to subscribe. both sate and leave me hungry, as well. and, both represent what keeps the Old Gods alive and thriving.
