Oh darn... I didn't make it.
I think I would have had a better chance if I could have sent an updated version, oh well, look for a WIP thread soon!

Ok everyone has been emailed now, every single game has been played and tested. All of the 'maybe' titles by 3 different people, so if yours didn't make it (which a lot didn't) it wasn't just my decision, but that of the TYTT project as a whole.

Personally I wish we could have included 20 games on the CD, but we can't.

Well, mine got rejected too, so here's another one for people to play with. I was told there were too many falling word type games and they could only choose one of them - I guess I just wasn't original enough!

Brief instructions -

type the word followed by the 'space key' before it reaches the bottom. If they begin to stack up you enter 'panic mode'. In panic mode each word typed correctly will put out one of the red lights - if you clear all of the red lights, the stack of words will clear and you revert to normal mode. Enjoy!

Mine too ....
There was going to be lots of extras in this: 10 animals, 10 food types, 10 terrains. Bonus pickups etc ...
The idea would have been to eat at least 3 items to progress to the next level. Eating everything would have given you a bonus score.

Level 1 would have been 1 character words.
upto Level 10 with 10 character words.

Now of course, it will have none of this

But here is a screenie:

Nope...

The bright side. Less space taken up in my projects folder.

Well, I got rejected. Rich liked my concept - but he said it wasn't finished enough. If only I had more time...ah well, may as well finish it - when I can be bothered. I did build my game in 5 days....

Yes, I'd imagine that is what will have happened to mine. However, still no email!

Just to re-iterate what I said a few days ago - every single game has been tested and responded to. We've emailed you all where possible. If you didn't get an email yet one of three things has happened: 1) We told you to resubmit your game for some reason (some people sent source code instead of EXEs) 2) You uploaded your game via FTP and didn't include an email address (a couple of people did this) or 3) You were emailed, but it got chomped before you got to read it, in which case contact me and I'll re-send it.

Well, as you know my entry didn't make it. I have a question though. I used Grants source code for the keyboard input. Probably about half of it is in my program and in original form. My question is, am I allowed to use it in a potentially commercial project? I already have a possible lead on a company interested in my program, and I am wondering if I should reprogram the key input code. Grant, if you could answer this, that would be great. If its ok to use, just tell me what you want in the credits, and if you want money, you'll get your share should my game sell.

Yay! Thanks Rich for your reply!

Yeah, my friend works at some place where they teach people how to use computers, and they said they'd be interested in a fun typing program, so I'm spicing my game up, and hopefully will be able to send them a demo soon.
