You also spelled necessary wrong. Otherwise, looks great!

Edit: Noticed one other thing, attached in the last paragraph is missing the a.

Looking very nice the new screenie.
Maybe not as spooky as the other ones, but if a game was based
on every minute that is spooky.
Then i think the game would loose it potential.

But! The lightray is good but you can use it in an even better way.
Look at Butterfingers thread about LyteFX.
See how he uses his lightrays?
He used 3 or more for one lightsource.

2 diagonal and 1 that is coming straight out of the source.
That way the light would look more "3d" and better, then just
using 1.

Hope it helped.

Would love to see more screenies.

Cheers,
Cheeese Cake.

I played your game and I was disappointed, why was I disappointed you might ask.

Well it left me wanting more and there was no level 2 .

Awesome game and the atmo was great this is def one off a few games that left me wanting more, so I was disappointed that it ended so soon.

You deserve the BOTB on this one and cant wait to play more.

Well done

@Everyone else: I shall be starting my game dev marathon from 3:00pm Great British time, so i might have some shots up by tonight. But before i start, allow me to finish ripping apart a FPSC pirate site/forum. Lets just say it contains everything from every MP to requests for LYTE:FX and Buttercutter 9butters won't be happy). I am in the process of posting a very...well lets just say.... 'angry' reply.

Just thought id share that info with you

More shots to come

Looks great! Your screenshots always do.

Your game would look so gorgeous if you got normal mapping working on the segments.

Cool screenies, but the pistol would look cooler with a flashlight crosshair. It's somwhere at the forum, probably in Smitho's flashlight thread...

Thanks for the comments guys. I am in the process of trying to accomplish normal mapping on my segements. No luck so far. I am currently designing another section within the tunnels, and it's full of horrible nastyness.

@ASTEK: will do

Expect some more shots soon

To me, it doesn't look like the wall is normal mapped, is there a way to increase the normal map value?

jpg compression usually blurs the image slightly to make artifacts less noticeable. Given a more extreme angle and sharper image, I would bet it does indeed look awesome

Looking great COZ. In the first screen though, any chance of turning down the saturation of that decal? I don't own LightFX so I'm not sure how it works, but if you can, that would make the screen look a lot better.

Nice work,
Paul

I agree with Paul. The decals are too vibrant for such a dark and grungy game.

Hey guys,
Sorry for the lack of updates. I have been very busy with work over the last few days, thus not being able to concentrate on Game dev. I have a weeks holiday coming up, so i should b able to get back into rhythem then. In answer to your questions, i shall tone down the saturation of that decal if possible due to as already mentioned, it's to bright.

Stay tuned for updates

Hey guys,
Sorry for the lack of updates (again), I have been busy trying to fix a bug that caused the framerate to plummet to 0fps at a certain point (all the way from 33fps).I think it was caused by the placement of a certain room in the editor. I have moved the room to a different location in the editor, so i hope that fixes it. Im going to test it soon. Attached is a very early WIP shot that still needs detailing with a few entities etc, but ithink it's got a nice atmosphere to it.

I've got the same problem in a level I am working on (or rather was, since I haven't touched FPSC in awhile) - it is just fine at 28-33 fps through the whole level then bam! Just this one spot that goes down to 5. Bleh.

Vote today and play the games!
